Far too many DINO and faux “progressive” Dems are craven bootlickers when it comes to Israel and its racist ethnic cleansing - anything to win an election eh? you pathetic sellouts!

If nothing else this shows the treasonous actions of some US politicians and the massive and coddled subversion of America and decades of election “meddling”, far greater than anything “Russia” may have tried to accomplish! Israeli subversion should never be tolerated much less funded and their war crimes cravenly supported!

BDS! Smash Apartheid and Israeli subversion!

Zionism is Racism!

i am disappointed that DC cannot separate the jewish religion from the political state of israel. the massachusetts rep clearly used the jewish religion as her reason / excuse for her vote.
ironic that we americans provide federal aid money to israel to help their elderly and poor. i think we also provide 5 billion dollars each year to their military.
AIPAC has the same propaganda handout that they used in 1985.
and, house candidates need the handout from nancy that she gets from wall street.

a vote against israel’s government policy is NOT a vote against the jewish religion at all.

Yes, when money talks; BDS is con/demned.

So Pressley admits it was due to pressure from the extreme zionist faction of her constituents, the ones who criticize Tom Friedman for not being supportive enough of Israel.

A bit ironic for the lady who was making headlines less than a year ago for battling racism to get elected.

One problem I have with the article, though, is calling a “no” vote progressive. It’s pretty conservative, actually, since the right to boycott is right there in the Constitution. The more we use the word “progressive” to refer to policies that should be guaranteed, the easier it is for the fascists to pretend that their ways are normal and beyond reproach.

If you can spout that bs about a Jewish right to national self-determination without noticing the hypocrisy, yeah, you’re a racist, because obviously you don’t think Palestinians have that same right.

This Democratic Party is so fractured, I think the San Andreas Fault pales in comparison.

Please leave it if you’re registered Democrat.

Unless you support the Income Inequality, the Continual Warmongering and Aggression all over the Globe, the Catering to the Wealthy and the Corporate State, please go online and register as a Green, a Socialist, or an Independent which is the largest political party and growing, in the country.

The Democrats are never going to be the party of the people again.

Khanna and Pressley ARE Progressive on ISRAEL because neither of them is fooled by all the Arab imperialist and Islamist hype! They realize that Israel is a resurrected nation of a people indigenous to their once, current and ETERNAL homeland!!

let’s take a minute and re-learn just how worker unions, minorities, etc. came together for FDR, Harry and JFK. yes, they all liked Ike too.
we are now a more comfortable peoples.

And a bit too lazy to take an active interest in local, state and national politics.
But if Bolton can war into Iran and we need to draft soldiers, — maybe, just maybe Americans will once again come together in common purpose.

The Democrats are never going to be the party of the people again.

Since their inception, under President
Andrew Jackson, as the Party promoting genocide against First Nations people’s and brutal oppression and enslavement of Black people, the Democrats have never been the Party of the people.

Apparently, membership in “The Squad”, and the “Progressive” Caucus, is a tangential sort of thingie, innit?

Not all progressives and people of color liked these supporters of US capitalist and imperialist rule. How about learning the true history of FDR’s undermining and oppression of socialist movements in the US, FDR’s brutal oppression of the Puerto Rican independence movement, Truman’s racist concentration camps for First Nations peoples and Japanese, Truman’s deliberate targeting of large civilian populations for mass slaughter with nuclear weapons of mass destruction , and JFK’s attacks against the revolutionary movement in Cuba, his role in the assassination of Lumumba, his imperialist interventions in Laos, Thailand, Guyana, etc. , and his domestic demonization of socialists and revolutionary people of color.

It’s worth noting that some longtime progressive stalwarts voted “no” on this, including Blumenauer, Dingell, Grijalva & Lee.

When are the Green, Socialist, Progressive parties, etc. going to form a coalition with each other & progressive Independents to vie with the corporatist Duopoly, drawing progressives from the Democrats & becoming a viable alternative?

Steve, thank you!
let us move it all up to a new party having a simple, straight forward, platform.

i will address Cuba. 1) Castro was american supported to replace Batista, a dictator. 2) when he won, he requested financial aid from america to feed the people. he was interviewed and identified as a communist by Nixon. so, aid was refused. he had to get help from somewhere else. 3) We paid ransom to gain release of about 3,500 mostly rich teens left behind in boarding schools as their parents escaped Havanna for Miami. they arrived in Florida, undisciplined - and moved north to South Carolina. it was a cold winter and night temps were 28 degrees. about 1/3 got pneumonia, as they had never experienced this cold weather.

ww2. we used napalm to murder over 2,000,000 japanese civilians long before the nukes dropped. the army air corp did not ask for permission! the japanese had tried to negotiate a peace starting in April 1945 thru Moscow. Stalin held off. by May, our 445 submarines has destroyed all shipping coming to Japan. they had no fuel, food. the only item i do not understand is why we did not bomb the air fields used by kamikaza.

I’m not happy about Tulsi Gabbard’s vote, that’s for sure.
But “nebulously defined anti -war platform” and " “a long history of deference to Israel’s right wing and related aggressive talk towards Iran” are way off the mark.
I’ve been complaining for months that Commondreams has frozen out Gabbard, and now, when they finally include her name in article, it’s only to smear her. Disgusting Commondreams.
A- there’s nothing nebulous about her anti-war platform. She’s against regime change wars, but supports a fight against terrorism which would have us working with Russia and China among other countries.
and B-as to “aggressive” talk against Iran, during the last debate, Tulsi looked straight into the camera and asked everyone watching to push for getting the US back in the Iran deal, and NOT going to war with Iran.
I didn’t see any of the other candidates talking like that.
It’s like Commondreams was just waiting to sabotage Tulsi at the first available opportunity, and her BDS vote presented that opportunity.
