Despite being in control of congress and the White House, the democrats have yet to pass a single piece of progressive legislation ( I donât count the latest Covid relief package as progressive as it was simply a political lay up)
The moment that Biden invited a supposedly âbipartisanâ group to the White House and announced his willingness to negotiate you knew any infrastructure plan was doomed to death by 1000 cuts. We will be lucky to see an infrastructure plan for 800-900 billion now.
The only reason Biden is pulling troops out of Afghanistan is that his republican predecessor already promised it (btw, it is estimated that some 10,000 mercenaries and CIA spooks will remain) and Guantanamo is still open.
The minimum wage increase is dead in this congress.
Medicare is still being cut and privatized. No mention of its repair or expansion.
No mention of fixing social security.
No mention of restoring the abortion rights that have been eroded in the last four years.
Legalizing pot is a non-starter in Bidenâs White House.
People are still leaving their own families in central and South America because US imperial policy has so destabilized the region that it is dangerous to raise children there.
Kiddie concentration camps are still open.
Any lunatic can still buy a gun.

A flat 25% corporate tax rate would be far better than Obamaâs 36% rate. By âflatâ I men ZERO loopholes. Even at a 21% rate, not only did companies like Amazon not pay a dime in taxes; they got $millions in tax REBATES. W.T.F.!!! Our tax system is sooo absurd, that it boggles the mind.

The reason Biden is pulling out of Afghanistan is because he needs those troops for his wars with Russia and China.
Watch the troops and you will see. Those troops will not be coming home. Those units will not be disbanded and the budget cut because we donât need them any more. Biden only just said that nuking the world in World War III is more important to him, and that he canât waste resources on the poorest country on earth.

In their cosmology, its good to cut aid for tghe poor , as its a barrier to freee trade and discriminates against foreign financial firms, banks, etc. Eliminating public healthcare allows it to be turned into an international auction scheme for insurers to buy their patientsâ healthcare in the developing world. healthcare for the insured (healhy) poor will be in the developing world. Which only costs a fraction as much. Anything is better than them going there and buying rich peoples healthcare for cash themselves. Then the insurers are out of the loop and the risk of the whole system falling apart is huge. Because US insurers often fail to diagnose thingslike cancer unless they absolutely have to. And doctors elsewhere have no incentive to dumb down their healthcare to lower US standards, which means there might be liability problems when the foreign hospitals find the diseases they had but were not tested for. And tell them.
This why they feel they have to globalize healthcare, so they can corrupt the foreign doctors the same way they have US ones. By drawing them into the whole dysfunctional movie. Making them sign the contracts with physician gag clauses too.

The US military is the army of the rich people all around the world. Its main function seems to be existing to remind countries that somehow challenge our corporations activities everywhere that we could intervene. Its all about money, oil, natural gas, and soon, commercial water mining and other mining operations⌠Perhaps many more. Expensive investments by our corporations⌠factories sweatshops, plantations, corporate activities of all kinds. Why cant they just buy all-risk insurance like they used to, for hundreds of years? Secrecy Jurisdictions (âTax havensâ) arent illegal, they are a core part of the international financial system, allowing the rich to hide the actual beneficial ownership of assets of all kinds from creditors all around the world. Maybe half of the worldâs money is to be found in secrecy jurisdictions. (The US state of Delaware, home of Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon is one)

Besides paying for infrastructure and creating jobs this will start to address the inequality in this country which is driving a lot of craziness going on for the last decades and it keeps getting worse.
The inequality rose because policy of Reagan forward worked in the direction to benefits the wealthy to its obscene amount of wealth held by say 700 people. Obscene
Why did they set up a scheme that sacrifices all of our public services so the rich can put all their money overseas, disinvesting in our own country on a massive scale?
They arenât going to (they would say waste) tax money on infrastructure for an area they dont want to invest in any more.
Thats whatâs causing all the problems, pretty much. The old days of jobs for most people who want them isnt ever going to return without willingness on their parts to employ here and build an inclusive future. And the trade deals that have turned everything into a lie have got to stop.

Economic growth? They donât need no stinking economic growth at this point. Tax law, Citizens United, loose lobbying regulation, a no increase policy on wages, annual consumer products increases, insurance hikes etc. gives the money changers profits without economic growth.
