What happens to Houston after the media coverage storm subsides, when the country has moved on from the reality that is the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey? Will the people of Houston, who will be affected by this devastation financially and emotionally for years to come, soon become just yesterday’s headline? I would hope not.
“Will there be justice for all ?”
Wrong question to ask in Murka where the question has always been HOW MUCH JUSTICE CAN YOU AFFORD ?
Interesting to consider the notion of ‘conscience’. Con - Latin for with/mutual; +science - aware.
‘Justice for all’ seems to be a reality on two planes, one - being discussed here - applies to the superimposition of a conceptual system of policy/politics with consequences in real time. That system and its shortcomings are based on empirical evidence of a deeper natural, identifiable system of balances, causal relationships and consequences. The latter exceeds the former in coherence and is the basis for righteous indignation of human beings excluded from the former, because that which generates evidence based reality ultimately provides the means to either improve or destroy the incoherence of a system.
