Renewable Energy Surge Behind Unprecedented Halt in Global Carbon Emissions

Lauren McCauley, staff writer

A growing worldwide shift to renewable energy has played a "critical role" in stalling global carbon emissions, the world's leading energy analysts declared on Wednesday.

According to the International Energy Agency's (IEA) preliminary analysis of 2015 data, for the second year in a row, the amount of carbon emitted from the world's power sector remained essentially flat at 32.1 billion tons.

From the article:

'...According to the International Energy Agency's (IEA) preliminary analysis of 2015 data, for the second year in a row, the amount of carbon emitted from the world's power sector remained essentially flat at 32.1 billion tons....'

Except that the figure was 32.1 billion tonnes (or 35.4 billion tons) of carbon dioxide, not of carbon (which accounts for 27.3% of CO2).

Ah Common Dreams this article has more holes then a fishing net. Co2 is continuing its clime. 405.6 the highest last reading. Everyone is waiting to see the Co2 bump from the Porter Ranch Co2 dump that has yet to circle the globe to Hawaii. If 2016 is not peak emissions of Co2 humans will pay dearly.

They are just treading water, waiting for the Toilet Paper Plan (designed to wipe us all out) is implemented. Then Green will disappear in a cloud of emissions and GMOs and the money will continue to roll in to the Oligarchy until the mass extinction.
* I wonder which one of them will win the game, "He who dies with the most toys wins."
