Report: US Not Even Meeting Inadequate Goal on Syrian Refugees

Nika Knight, staff writer

The U.S. is failing to fulfill its "modest pledge" to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees by September 2016, according to the most recent government figures and a damning new report (pdf) from Human Rights First, prompting sharp critique from observers.

"Words can hardly capture the U.S. response to the Syrian refugee crisis, at least any words I can think of."
—Noam Chomsky

The U.S. should accept all the refugees from all its wars. our "leaders" always find it so easy to bomb people's houses, giving them a place to stay so difficult. if you think all those refugees would be a problem, try to calculate how many problems we have caused in their countries. Also providing for our refugees might discourage the pentagon from starting more

A source for much of the unrest in the Middle East is because Allied nations including the US did not want to absorb the Jewish population following World War II. Volia Israel, and the displacement of the Palestinian people. Cuban boat people, immigration across the southern border... it's all about racism, systemic racism, and white supremacy/privilege.
