'Sad Day for Warmongers' as UN Finds Iran in Total Compliance with Nuke Deal

Julia Conley, staff writer

On what one observer called "a sad day for warmongers," the United Nations declared Friday that Iran is fully adhering to the nuclear deal reached in 2015, and that inspectors will not go looking for infractions at the request of the Trump administration.

Like anything having to do with our going to war, officials simply posture and ladle out rank propaganda, eagerly reported by a compliant press, to manufacture consent for what is nothing more than a war of choice. Why should war with Iran be any different?

Trump’s need to be the biggest asshat on the planet is getting old, very fast. He’s an idiot man-child, very short on brains, heavy on brawny talk.Talk is cheap.
Iran is not the problem and the real world knows that. Donald the Dickheaded Dunce is the world’s, and the Republican Party’s problem. He needs to go away and the people who enabled him need to go away, too. There should be no second acts for them, either. Enough is enough.

Bah-fungoo, DJT (signed, United Nations)

And the rest of the world–minus Saudi Arabia and Israel-- to the USA: “FU. We are just not that into you”.

When you look at this administration it looks very much to be a spite campaign against the reality of having had a first Black President regardless of what anyone might think about Obama.

“Donald the Dickheaded Dunce”! Here’s one for you: “Hair Hitler The Flaming Orange Satan”

The fascist fraud, rump MUST be impeached/ 25th amendment; get him away from the nuke button; he is INSANE!

Sad day for warmongers, especially the extremist racist warmongering of the Zionist state! The nexus of war-propaganda and incitement to divert world attention from their expansionist ethnic cleansing and illegal colonization of The Occupied Territories of Palestine - all in pursuit of their racist exceptionalism and “religious” mythology! As delusional and dangerous as the ginger chimp!

I would add that the VP, the AG, and more than less of the cabinet secretaries were not in favor of marriage equality, which is reflected in DJT’s choices of personnel. And the “base” were obviously overtly and strongly opposed to marriage equality while chanting their homophobic slurs. In addition, they were p-o’d because Roe v Wade was not overturned (see states making abortion and birth control virtually impossible to access via their stripping funding for Planned Parenthood and passing draconian, anti-women legislation). And now come the attacks on transgender human beings not only in the military but in too many cities and states. Loving-kindness is nowhere to be found in the WH and scarce in Congress and SCOTUS…sad to say.

While it would be an act to rival the Stalin purges it would be in keeping with Donald Trump’s recent actions to obliterate every effort for progress that President Obama made in his eight years in office. To destroy this treaty in a fit of jealous peak is an unspeakable atrocity. Donald Trump has demonstrated that he is unfit for the responsibility of this office an simply must, along with the men and women who he has foolishly appointed ,be removed from office.

I love it that Iran is being self-protective and is in compliance. And I’m glad that inspectors will not go looking for infractions at the request of the Trump administration. Where the hell does Trump get off “requesting” UN Inspectors do his bidding?

Trump and the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, have regarded Iran and the agreement with suspicion, with Trump threatening to withhold certification of Iranian compliance, and saying in an interview in July, “If it was up to me, I would have had them noncompliant 180 days ago.”

Trump very nearly did hold them in non-compliance but he walked back from that “precipice”.

Review of “The Age of Deception”, by Nobel Laureate and former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency Mohamed ElBaradei:

=============

"In this new book, ElBaradei reports on a deeply disturbing development — a scramble by numerous nations, driven by fear and insecurity, to obtain nuclear weapons or to maintain their own privileged nuclear status.

This scramble clearly contravenes the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Signed in 1968, the NPT represents a bargain between the nuclear weapons nations and the non-nuclear weapons nations. Under its provisions, the nuclear nations are required to divest themselves of their nuclear weapons and the non-nuclear nations are required to forgo developing them. If these provisions were followed, we would today have a nuclear weapons-free world. Instead, of course, we have a world in which nine nations continue to maintain over 20,000 nuclear weapons (about 95 percent of them possessed by the United States and Russia), other nations lay plans to join the nuclear club, and terrorist groups plot to obtain nuclear weapons from national arsenals."

===============

I read “The Age of Deception” when it came out (2011).

It is an engaging read for those truly interested - and not overly optimistic. Subsequent events since its publication have demonstrated that this lack of optimism was justified.

Israel wants more war and American lives and money to pay for it …

For all those as dumb and naive as the UN, the following questions need to be pondered:

Why should Iran break the 2015 nuclear deal when it can subcontract its nuclear and missile development to North Korea?

Another question worth pondering is: After witnessing what has happened to its neighbors, Afghanistan and Iraq, why shouldn’t Iran try by aqny means possible to find a way to develop nuclear weapons to protect itself against US and Israeli aggression?

Finally, how do you think that an economic basket case like PRK can afford to develop and test both an ICBM as well as a thermonuclear device (translate: H bomb)?

And the question that has to be asked: What about Israel’s nuclear weapons?
