Sanders Rips 'Casual Cruelty That Motivates Trump and His Billionaire Friends' as White House Moves to Strip Free School Lunches From 500,000 Kids

Canada and its Government has fully embraced Neo-Liberalism. This all started with NAFTA and it has been downhill since.

i really don’t understand how America is to be made great again if 500,000 of America’s children have not enough to eat. Some may have heard the phrase, “An army marches on it’s stomach.” If a child is to be all that it can be, better first give that child good and sufficient meals. Only a fool would do less for his own children.

In many European countries all children are fed breakfast and lunch – no charge. This helps avoid the stigma attached to being in the “free” lunch line. It also ensures that all school-age children have at least two proper meals a day and continues through school breaks and holidays. In the US, you’re on your own.

As I have heard Gerald Celente often say when people have nothing left to lose they begin to lose it. I would hate to see the kind of violence come to this country that we have seen in other countries with assassinations of politicians. I would really hate to see that happen. But I see it coming. I do not participate in violence, and I will not participate in violence. I do not recommend violence. I do not propose violence. I recommend against violence. But, I do see violence against the powers that be coming.

You think a republican convert is going to stop this? Dream on, Warren supporters.

But those little hands were perfect for unjamming textile machines. Spare the rod and cut off the hands.

I got this from someone on another site but I agree with it and have been using it:

Republicans believe cruelty is a strength

Making children go hungry only makes them earn low grades in school which decreases their chances of obtaining gainful employment which in turn completes the cycle of poverty. “Keep the peasants in their place!”- that’s the republicans’ plan here.

How else is he going to give tax breaks to the wealthy.

Yes the damn English used children to work in textile factories because they could reach in to work the machines better. Most of those children grew up deformed and I am sure lived an agonizing painful life.

Where is Stalin when we need him in America. No wonder the fat cat elites fear communism and socialism. They cannot bear the thought of giving back some of the profits to the system which they exploit.

Is it time to make a list of all the public schools in the country, then every day, make a random selection from that list, has have that school send the White House whatever lunch they give to students who can’t pay for their lunches, and require tRump to eat only that for lunch?

I fear that the violence and anger will not be targeted toward the “deserving” 1%, but
toward others viewed as lesser beings in class. American workers have lost more jobs
due to the greedy corporations, but the hate is being targeted toward illegals rather than
the businesses that hire them or the corporations that ship jobs overseas. The media and
TPTB will make sure the 99% take their rage out on each other.

A number of years ago, on a radio show, I heard an interview with the representative for the 54th congressional district in California. He said he was in support of children, perhaps as young as four years old, working in a lobster factory. He said their little hands were perfect for getting the meat off of the lobster shells.

Of course, I was horrified.

It turned out that there is no 54th district in California, and it was April first, so the whole interview was an April Fools joke!

Not so funny when reading your comment. Are we really going back there?

Stalin is NOT a good example to set before the people! From my reading of history, the only Russian leader from the time of the Tsars onward who might, possibly, be a candidate for ‘good example’ would be Gorbachev. The operative word in ‘the dictatorship of the proletariat’ is dictatorship, and it was dictatorship of a very select fat cat few of the proletariat. Unfortunately, to my mind there never HAS been a genuine example of disinterested government for the greatest good of society as a whole. Is the human species capable of it? There have been occasional approaches to the ideal, but…

That’s been my point as well however trying to change the popular narrative is a daunting task.

Gorby definitely brought the USSR in for a soft landing. And with a relatively small number of casualties, especially for tumultuous Russia. Unfortunately the oligarchs stole it all before the populace knew what hit them, and NATO encircled them again even more menacingly.
