Sorry, but Bernie effectively stepped aside very early. When Teachout wrote a factual breakdown of Biden’s corruption, Bernie distanced himself from her. When asked, he said that of course his friend Biden wasn’t corrupt. Are you kidding me?! When Nina Turner wrote an article in a South Carolina paper about Biden’s horrible record in regards to the impact on communities of color, the same. Rarely brought up the particulars regarding Biden’s dismal record, did next to nothing when the Democrats did what they did in Iowa (any halfway decent party would have demanded racist police lapdog Pete drop out and would demand Perez resign) and has never really even frontally challenged Democrats in power in recent years.
I do appreciate Bernie shifting the conversation, he has inspired self described socialists to run and socialists are now winning in ways that would have been unthinkable even 15 years ago. But, he made decisions this time around that seemed to prioritize Biden over the poor people and working people that depended on him fighting for them.
But, I would be happy if Bernie was weeks away from taking office. That was entirely possible Obama stepped in, took a break from sailing with Richard Branson, to undermine Bernie. I intensely dislike Obama.
