Actually, the bill provides for non-profits through its small business and some of its state provision, though it is highly complex. Meanwhile these non-profits execs shill for more $$$ for their np-korps (and salaries), when all aid should go as directly as possible to 80% of human beings who need it and have a right to it.

We don’t need hustlers (with or w/o business suits) to advise us how to live, build power and organize for an ecosocialist sustainable reality.

Of course they are working on a fourth round bailout. The mega rich haven’t gotten enough yet. Then they’ll toss in some crumbs for some of us peasants, just for the entertainment of watching us squabbling over who got crumbs. And to keep us too fractured to unite against our common enemy.

My wife and I are like millions of other seniors, our Social Security checks, plus a small pension are the only income we have, the total is way below the minimum for filing income taxes.
It looks like the relief checks will be sent out to people who file income taxes and have it auto- deposited into an account.
It looks like the only way to receive the relief check will be to go file taxes.
They are probably counting on many seniors to assume that they will not be getting a check and not know to file.
It would have been simple to just sent a relief check to all those who already get a SS check deposited into their checking account.

The GOP won’t be satisfied till the 99% are de facto serfs, begging for any job----e.g., picking vegetables all day just to get a little food.

Hi Hens Teeth;
Judging by the picture with this article, it appears that Nancy Pelosi is attempting to use the Vulcan hand sign---------------- oh–it’s a fail—of course. Where is Spock when we need him.: (

Yeah, what is up with that. She makes odd gestures all the time. It gotten worse lately, prolly from counting all that money that a Master Legislator brings in.

Hi sdbruns:

Of course, it will get worse --the thought of money, money money— came —and then-- she thought of King Midas! : 0

Many individual corporations will be getting millions. You as an individual human being are worth a one time payment of $1200. Tells you all you need to know about what Congress thinks of the working class. This is a repeat of Obama bailing out Wall Street and screwing Main Street after the crash of 2008. Actually worse. The oligarchy wins, again.

This is a huge opportunity for the powers that be to employ their “shock doctrine”. We all knew they wouldn’t let that pass.

“What the Senate has put forth is not nearly good enough” “marked a significant first step”

this piece of tripe seems a soft-sell support of the theft of trillions gifted corporate, banker, wall street and polluting industry (is the cruise vacation business an “industry”?) - add wall street “investors - shareholder parasites by the duopoly Congress. Now they suggest we make-up for the theft by adding more to the crime that should have put people first initially, not trump & co greed and their corporate co-conspirators? Where is the expressed need for a sea-change in the 'system” of vulture capitalism and corrupt political corruption? I call BS on this - am I reading this wrongly?
