The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed HR 2048, the USA Freedom Act last week. The bill is an attempt by lawmakers to rein in the NSA and fix the infamous "business records program," which uses Section 215 of the Patriot Act to order telephone companies to hand over Americans' daily calling records.
Mark Jaycox's opinion to the contrary, Burr and the majority of the neocon Senate have told the truth. It really doesn't matter what the public thinks as long as they keep reelecting such incumbents or their clones to office. They sit as sovereign nobility unaccountable to any but their financial patrons.
"The program as designed is effective ..."
Effective at what? What is the true purpose of the surveillance?
Only dictatorships are against public opinion.
Both Burr and Feinstein should have been removed from this committee along time ago. They are not overseer's, they are enablers!
