The EPA and OSHA were both signed into law by Nixon in 1970. Within the few years it took to transition Murkin rivers, bays and lakes lost their odors and multicolored hues, while incidents of workers being injured, sickened or killed in workplaces became less frequent.
Trump and the GOP controlled Congress are anxious to set the clock back to the pre EPA, pre OSHA bad old days.
There needs to be a protest march to the steps of congress demanding answers to the questions:
How does cutting safety regulations and gutting fair pay protections benefit workers?!
How does cutting EPA staff and funding (which is already to little to do its work) help American citizens?!
How does loosening clean air and water regulations help Americans?!
How does ignoring climate change keep Americans safe?!
We need to pummel congress with the questions that they cannot possibly answer in order to make it painfully clear to Trump supporters that this administration does not give a shit about average American citizens. Americans are going to suffer tremendously.
