Why does Harrison’s “Piggies” keep playing in my head … ?

If you think it’s only Smithfield, your not paying attention. Almost all of the corporations are gaslighting the public about how “safe”, “natural”, “healthy”, and sometimes “organic”, their products are. Good luck with that lawsuit under the FTC Act, it rarely gets enforced today, look how many “diet pill” commercials there are, and none of them work (there’s only 3 ways to lose weight, take in less calories, burn more calories, or a combination of the two).
25-30 years ago Egglands Best was fined a very hefty sum for claiming their eggs were more healthy than their competitors, they’re running the same ad they were fined for, today with no consequence.

Remind us again who owns Smithfield?

A Chinese billionaire named Wan Long. Ain’t that (pardon the pun) some shit?

On the flip side, ‘Helter Skelter’ keeps playing in mine.

You mean, they’re not the best?

Well maybe in Trump language they’re the “best”, like Trumps inauguration had the most people ever. :)))

Maybe when they say “sustainable” their talking about their profits because the hacks in DC are spineless to do anything about it.
