The older I get the more I see history not as circles but as spirals.

After Dubya’s rule, I think people were just exhausted. OWS never really got a foothold before everything went sideways.

This time, while we can certainly see a lot of similarities to things that have happened before, too much has been inflicted upon the Non-Believers for 4 years to be doused by a Lesser of Two Evils. The smoldering embers of BLM are kindled by thousands of sympathetic grievances. The Social Contract has been destroyed, and we’ve had our noses rubbed hard in it.

The Wall Street meltdown was mostly felt as a turning down of the steady stream of trickle down to most, and bombs and war crimes are somewhere over there. USA!

Where we’re at now…heavy worsening of a pandemic grossly mishandled, urban populations openly insulted from not voting GOP, zero reformation of police violence and abuse, a homeless epidemic about to look like a biblical exodus, and zero stimulus or relief coming to the American public? Yeah, I’m betting government inaction will result in more and more social unrest, and I’m not talking about MAGA or QAnon (we’ll get more of them sooner than later).

You nailed it. The turds are raining down on us at the bottom of the totem pole as those at the top laugh at the voters for the LOTEs. “We can push Biden left” they opined with wishful naivete. Meanwhile, into his tent slink the smirking war mongers, corporatists, and elitists, drooling as they contemplate slaking the blood of humanity with their wars and greed and climate destruction.

It seems you are putting words into Biden’s mouth before he even gets a chance to speak. IF you are so worried about what he will do, I do hope you voted for tRump, as he BRAGS about what he is going to do to social security and the old people who depend on it.

You are SO right. A mass exodus of voters and progressive congress people would put the DP in a panic and is about the only way to get their attention. My larger hope is that such an exodus would lead to the rise of a new party and the death of the garbage heap known as the democrat party. If only there could be some folks of enough stature to get the ball rolling downhill.

How’d that work with almost the whole of Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan top earners on the Obama team. These people donate their way into administration positions for influence peddling. You’re not really thinking it’s out of the goodness of their hearts, eh?

Influence peddling is the illegal practice of using one’s influence in government or connections with persons in authority to obtain favours or preferential treatment for another, usually in return for payment. Also called traffic of influence or trading in influence.

Illegal, my arse. It is common practice in this country.

Oh goody, another dem apologist, history apparently escapes you, allow me to bring you up to speed. Biden tried no less than 4 times to reduce social security as a Senator. Please provide one example, just one, where a corporatist has held a corporation accountable. And incase you didn’t get the memo, the democratic “party” is officially a corporation, per the 2018 court case, and acknowledged by a sitting judge.

75M voted for Biden.
80+M didn’t vote for either one of them

In an election that was touted as the grand fight against fascism and had the largest turnout in modern election history, there were 80M people who would not be fooled. “None of the above” won the election again. The Democratic Party blames it on…Russians, Socialists, Chinese, Iranians…

Just wanted to share Reed’s name was not the only one in the till, that the tweet’s author retracted it, and that Biden is also considering people to Reed’s left, a few decently to his left.

Close, Trooth — Butt no cigar!   You can see a korporate pawn when looking at any one of 99.44% of state & national politicians anywhere in the U.S.   It’s almost impossible to get into politics without first selling your soul to the korporate gatekeepers in the DNC and RNC, while the korporate-owned MSM keeps any attempt at forming a viable third party a dope-crazed dream.

Emanuel was only half right — he should have said “Voters” instead of “Liberals”.

. . .  And remove the “cap” on Social Security contributions.  Oh, since Korporations are now ‘People’, make them pay their FICA taxes.
