As I commented to the NY âTimesâ on faux-Emperor Trumpâs 2:00 AM self-coronation:
As I said to C-Span earlier this morning: Alan in Maine Faux-Emperor Trump announced (without any proof, and in âourâ White House) that he had won, and that he wanted the votes to be stopped. Game Over â Trump clearly and publicly proved, and with unimpeachable evidence, that he has now announced on national television that he is precisely acting exactly like an Emperor! And âwe the American peopleâ will not countenance an illegal and insane Emperor to rule over âwe the peopleâ. âEmperor Trump is trying to make our country into a Empire.â Period â full stop.

@Alan MacDonald IMHO, Emperor Trump has just hung himself. The Supreme Court can not in any way vote and condone the evidence that Trump has illegally influenced the election process of our United States of America and our Constitution. Yes, faux-Emperor Trump did not literally burn down Congress or the Reichstag â but he provably tried to suborn the Constitution. Full Stop.

(along with Impeachment might be combined) "Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make known the same to the President or to some judge of the United States, or to the governor or to some judge or justice of a particular State, is guilty of misprision of treason and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both. (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 807; Pub. L. 103â322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(H), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.) Unfortunately, for faux-Emperor Trump, Supreme Court Justices can not be as accommodating and servile as Trumpâs former famous âfixerâ Michael Cohen was.
Any system which vomits forth such two reprehensible figures as Trump and Biden who stand violently opposed to what the vast majority of the population wishes - from ending the wars to healthcare, education, marijuana, etc. is in now manner, shape or form, democratic. No, there couldnât be a greater contrast between what the American public wants and what either candidate is offering. And voting means nothing nada, zilch when this is the only âchoiceâ we are given.

I hope your part of the 1% because the 99% got screwed out of 7 TRILLION $ by Donald and the Republicans. With each passing hour, it looks more likely the orange clown is getting shuffled offstage, then straight into NY state court to defend his own personal freedom. You can practically see the big hook. You know heâs running clean out of spokespeople when his pathetic son shows up in front of a microphone somewhere. He thought heâd be able to stage another âBrooks Brothers Rebellionâ in Michigan, and what do you know? The other side was totally prepared for that nonsense.
Now weâre facing three more months of Big Bozo Frightwig in charge, as Covid keeps rearing up like an angry cobra. Not a nice outlook. Our idiotic, dangerous three-month gap before Inauguration Day is something else we could fix, if we ever had a moment to patch up our rickety old ersatz democracy.

that the American people need to be protesting ,demanding every vote be counted in an election that should have been a blowout shows the massive failure of the Democratic partyâthey couldnât even flip the Senateâif the Dems had fought Trump and the Republicans as hard as they fight the progressives it might have been a different storyâinstead they put the Republicans on their stageâworked overtime for those non existent crossover Republican votes-and ran on a campaign of promising to continue the pain that their policies put the American people in and that led directly to Trumpâwho managed to run as an outsider instead of as an incompetent incumbent against the pathetic Democratsâtime to walk away from those losers and form the party we needâa Peopleâs party(.org)

There are still six states yet to be allocated to either Biden or Trump.
No matter the outcome, two questions are first and foremost in my mind:

The answer to #2 is to answer question #1 - as I see it anyways.

Well, the neo-liberals, who dominate the propaganda narrative of the political left, are feeding the fascists with their, self absorbed, small minded approach.The removal of Confederate monuments, for example, is a big vote winner in the South. So strong it canât fail to get votes.Notice the states that are strongly supporting Trump.Well, nobody on the political left noticed how those monuments were so quickly taken down without much of a fight from the Republican governors (co-conspirators with Trump) in the âsolid south.â Because, it brings out their support. Robert E Lee, superintendent of West Point, actually was a man of great integrity and Grant knew it.
And then there is the violence of some in the Black Lives Matter movement. OK, lots of people are pissed off. Understandable. And Trump quickly latched onto it, but the neo-liberals then insisted that the police had to have no funding, (Big win for the fascists)
With idiots on all sides we came dangerously close to a NAZI type takeover of our government. And, itâs not over yet.
The thoughtful reflective âpeople of colorâ saved America in this election.God bless them.

This is laughable, frankly. No, no neoliberals are advocating that âthe police have no funding.â Thatâs a Trump talking point. Biden is a neoliberal and he says police funding should increase. My cityâs mayor is a neoliberal and she has vetoed the City Council budget that included reduced funding for police - a budget not drafted by neoliberals, but by people who call themselves socialists and progressives.
Either you donât know what a neoliberal is, or youâre intentionally distorting US politics.
