The President is a complicit "idiot."
Israel’s “right to defense” is quite similar to a schoolyard bully scenario. The bigger kid has consistently been stealing the smaller kid’s homework and stealing his/her lunch. When the smaller kid finally has had enough and tries to punch the bigger kid, the bigger kid beats the smaller kid to a pulp and says that he/she was only acting in self-defense.
Perhaps there is an unconscious fear that if the United States insists to the world that Israel withdraw its settlers from homes and land belonging to 1948 Palestinians and their descendents, a similar attitude could arise toward the United States. Persons whose ancestors were removed and whose lands were taken by settlers from Great Britain, France, Spain and other European countries could demand their lands be returned to them and their tribal treaties with the United States be enforced. U.S. politicians would want to avoid shining a spotlight on similarities between Israel and United States settler history.
But Salish:
If America is supposed to be a great nation , and as France tried to get this stopped and if the UN is willing to comment and take action---- but Joe won’t go there ----then the American people have to demand and CUT OFF THE FREAKING MONEY. to Israel.
And cut that money off now! And make sure that Joe explain WHY he hasn’t done anything!
He has not done anything because he is not actually in charge.
That is how an oligarchy works and it is the reason America’s foregin policy remains the same regardless of who is “voted” in.
The corporate military industrial complex have been implimenting their invasion plans over multiple administrations for decades, and every single admininstration has dutifully implemented them.
The only recent deviation was Trump whose administration was too incompetent to pull off a successful false flag and ironically he became the first US president in close to a hundred years to not start a war.
America has been calling their wars anything other than wars since ww2 so one could argue that no US president has started a war since then. However, if we go by the more commonly accepted definition of deciding to send troops to a foregin country that did not attack us first, or instigating a war behind the scenes via terrorism, sabotage, sanctions etc, then the last one was LBJ and that was almost a hundred years ago.
As for FDR, was America in that war before he decided to send troops? Same for Ike and Truman.
Granted, they “joined” existing wars, but the fact remains that America was not a part those respective wars before they decided to send troops. Hence they started wars.
But i concede your point. Perhaps i should have written “did not drag America into a war” instead.
Hi Tengri:
Well Trump certainly did try to start a war. I mean he murdered the Iranian general Soleimani in an Iraqi airport along with many others. And I refuse to ever thank people in the military for their service, because all they do is to go into other nations and murder, murder, murder----- After reading of My Lai and how the military lied, and then American soldiers even murdered Ben Tillman----and got away with it., and the military Lied about that too. America is a sad sad creator of so many killlng fields. : (
It probably would not do any good because it does not affect politicians that have no conscience; nevertheless, I would like this picture to be blown up and plastered on the walls of the House and the Senate.
Hi Niemand:
I don’t think Carter ever had a war in his term.
Unfortunately, a certain PAC chills their blood even more.
Peace.
