'Stop Lying to Young Jews': Protest by Anti-Occupation Jewish Activists Targets Birthright Tours

Eoin Higgins, staff writer

Fifteen people were arrested Friday in New York when hundreds of activists from the Jewish advocacy group If Not Now blocked access to the entrance of Birthright, the Sheldon Adelson-funded organization that takes young Americans Jews on tours of Israel to instill within them support of that country's war on the Palestinian people.

This generation of young people are surpassing their parents at every turn.
Too bad their parent’s apathy have most likely killed them already.

Look, I grew up in a Jewish home, and never heard - you belong in Israel- that is your birthright.

These are the Jewish people that I know and love. They haven’t given up their humanity and brains to the elders. Adelson is just a wealthy casino owner, dirty money buying a very expensive lie.

As Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has shown us the Truth will be distorted and any mention of the mistreatment of Palestinians or the Occupation of their land will be quickly interpreted as Anti-Semitic.

This article is not about being anti-Semitic, it is about being pro-reality. These are mostly young Jewish people trying to stop injustice, the same as young Americans successful efforts to stop the Vietnam War. It is the same history as ours regarding the horrors committed against our own native people; and, as the article describes the racial injustice still committed in our own country. Netanyahu, is a terrible, inhumane person who has grasped the reigns of power. A person like so many of our own in recent, and not so recent, history.
