Striving for 'Just and Moral Economy,' Workers Rise Up for May Day Protests Worldwide

Jessica Corbett, staff writer

As workers across the world marked International Workers' Day, or May Day, by taking to the streets to demand living wages, improved labor conditions, and that employers respect their right to unionize, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) used the global mobilization to note the importance of fighting to improve labor conditions year-round.

"Every day we must strive for a just and moral economy with decent wages, decent benefits, and decent working conditions for all workers," he tweeted Tuesday.

We don’t need Tweets. We need anti-capitalist non-violent revolutions.

Bernie is part of the “cruise missile left.”

Notice that the demonstrations – in the case of Puerto Rico for clean water, electricity, dignity –
were all met with Elite/Establishment violence.

Royals morphed into “Elites” and “Palace Intrigue” is still with us.

The schools, for one, have been broken apart … FIRST… by the use of “religious schools” to
avoid de-segregation.

Those “separate” religious schools have now been moved to the new concept of “Charter”
schools, but it is the same effort to defund public education and destroy it.

Again, a movement to split those who can afford private schools from those who can’t.

We must recognize their tools at play and make them ineffective.
