further proof that the fossil fuel industries are the world’s worse criminals–their crimes are the deaths of millions–the collapse of our ecosystems- and in the end --the loss of all life on this planet–they do this for the money–their crimes( ongoing) make all the tinpot genocidal maniacs from Genghis Kahn to Hitler and Pol Pot look like grade school bullies–time to ,face the fact that these are ecocidal maniacs–NOT the upstanding business people they pretend to be–simply capitalist killers for profit–

Yes, the fossil fuel industries need to be sued the same way the tobacco industries were.
I was watching the confurmation hearing for the EPA earlier today. The guy from Alaska was crying crocodile tears at losing those well paying jobs in oil.
I suppose the same continues with the coal industry. There is reasonable confusion over what happens to those jobs. We have seen retraining programs fail.
And there is minimal confidence that the people who lose jobs will be in a position to move into clean energy jobs.
Transition is always painful, and doesn’t work for everyone.
Losing half of our paper mills over the years was an example for my area.
And with the assault on union paying jobs it gets worse.

the fossil fuel corporations need to be dismantled-their assets distributed to mitigate the harm ALREADY done and their executives prosecuted, convicted, then jailed (they should be glad that the death penalty is not on the books for their massive crimes) for the killing of millions and destruction of our ecosphere—it is way past time to let violent killers walk around pretending they are something besides the killers they --in fact --are

just to point out the enormity of their crimes–Hitler killed some 6 million Jews over the course of his reign–the fossil fuel industry killed about 8.7 million people --LAST YEAR ALONE
