Testing Corporations Rake in Cash While Teachers Sell Plasma to Survive

Steven Singer

If you want to get rich in education, don’t become a teacher.

Open a charter school or take a job at a testing corporation.

Sure, charter schools are elaborate scams to make money off children while providing fewer services.

In their words:

“Never confuse education with intelligence.” – Albert Einstein

“I don’t want a nation of thinkers, I want a nation of workers.” – John D. Rockefeller

“In our dream we have limitless resources, and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hand. The present educational conventions fade from our minds; and, unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or of science. We are not to raise up among them authors, orators, poets, or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians. Nor will we cherish even the humbler ambition to raise up from among them lawyers, doctors, preachers, statesmen, of whom we now have ample supply.” – Frederick T. Gates (advisor to “philanthropist” John D. Rockefeller)

“Don’t let school interfere with your education” - Mark Twain

With the miltary industrial media infotainment complex (MIMIC) and the prison industrial complex (PIC) being so successful for the 1%, its only natural that an educational industrial complex (EIC) is rapidly escalating.

Just as soldiers are for MIMIC, and guards are for PIC, teachers are an expendable component of the EIC, all part of the trend to achieving the 1%'s neofeudalism paradise.

Bill Gates didn’t spend millions to pass a charter school initiative in Washington State because there is no profit in charter schools.

Thanks, Mr. Singer. This is a story that doesn’t get reported, especially here in Florida, one of the birthplaces of school testing and privatization. The Republicans are happy to see anything turned into a commodity, even the education of our children!

Remembering that when Bush created his no child left behind scam, his brother was in the test and supplies business.
