Better the British than the US full of Boltons who under Bush/Cheney thought they could blow through Iraq, grab the oil fields and then blow through Iran and do the same. Instead Iran has the ability to blow up the oil fields between them and the Saudi’s who are using the US to do their dirty work. Trump says all is good IF lots of money goes into my personal pocket before I get out of town…

To resolve the crisis Britain must return the tanker it seized illegally. An apology would be useful.

Next, Britain and the EU must refuse to participate in further American sanctions against Iran.

Finally, the EU must re-establish the Nuclear agreement with Iran, whether US goes along or not.

American international leadership is not worth following, and perhaps never has been.

This guy has a striking resemblance to a former chancellor of Germany … certainly a similar mind set.

Kookoocachoo …He is the walrus.
Since before the founding the long term power threads between US and UK have been based on the appearance of “Independence” in ways never taught in schools playing all sides against each other to enable the gathering of threads whenever desired.

Annotated Alice asserts that Walrus and Carpenter is allegory to US - UK relations

The Walrus and the Carpenter are the eponymous characters in the poem, which is recited by Tweedledum and Tweedledee to Alice. Walking upon a beach one night when both sun and moon are visible, the Walrus and Carpenter come upon an offshore bed of oysters. Groups of four are called up; the exact number is unknown. To the disapproval of the eldest oyster, many more follow them. After walking along the beach (a point is made of the fact that the oysters are all neatly shod despite having no feet), the two main characters are revealed to be predatory and eat all of the oysters. After hearing the poem, the good-natured Alice attempts to determine which of the two leading characters might be the more sympathetic, but is thwarted by the twins’ further interpretation:

I like the Walrus best," said Alice, “because you see he was a little sorry for the poor oysters.”

“He ate more than the Carpenter, though,” said Tweedledee. “You see he held his handkerchief in front, so that the Carpenter couldn’t count how many he took: contrariwise.”

“That was mean!” Alice said indignantly. “Then I like the Carpenter best—if he didn’t eat so many as the Walrus.”

“But he ate as many as he could get,” said Tweedledum.

This was a puzzler. After a pause, Alice began, "Well! They were both very unpleasant characters—

The evil little toad bolton is a threat to everyone with his pathological mental warmongering and serving Israeli “interests” over every other state on Earth!
The craven boot-licking and lap-dog actions of the UK over recent decades is astonishing in its servility - where has their independent thinking and sovereignty gone? Gone potty (brit meaning - daft, mental, mad) is where!
Kissing trumps filthy ass on his stunningly pathetic recent “royal visit” should make every UK citizen cringe in embarrassment at the display of abject servility!
They seem ready to elect right-wing tool Boris Johnson in a mirror-image of trumps imperial racist presidency - he even resembles the orange pustule - those that pushed the Brexit vote on the UK also exhibited supremely self-destructive arrogance and stupidity (IMO)!

The UK siezed the Iranian tanker of Gibraltar, apparently at the behest and instigation of the trump/bolton regime. If the UK folds and kowtows to bolton’s mental illness and trumps pathology again, after Iran countered seizing the Brit tanker tit-for-tat, they will have abandoned any sanity and claim to independence, diplomacy, common sense and moral compass, instead becoming a US tool - the rush to war via bolton’s malignant politics and prodding is an ongoing crime against humanity!

The U.S. is very proud of itself the way it is able to goad other countries into war. Of course the U.S. will always offer “Air Support”, which is a euphemism for “bombing whomever into the Stone Age” as well as vetoing any objections by the UN. Bolton, who is now the worst living war criminal of the 21st Century, is manipulating Trump into believing that war is in the best interests of the U.S. Because the U.S. is not a functional democracy, the people are powerless in stopping this incredibly ignorant tyrant from starting wars of opportunity. It is a sad day for democracy around the world.

This is what happens when architects and supporters of the Iraq invasion were not held accountable for their war crime. Bolton, a faded joke as a person and ‘strategist’, is now a power player at the highest level of government. And just as sick, tune into MSNBC or CNN and count how many of the other neocons and Iraq warmongers are featured as they criticize Iran and cheerlead for another debacle (but hey, they oppose Trump!). War is one thing that unites every facet of the D.C. establishment. After all, it’s only business.

The MIC was so disappointed in Abrams’ ineptitude to start a war in Venezuela that all hopes are on Bolton now to start a conflagration in the Middle East.
The only sensible communication seems to be coming out of Iran.
It’s an end run around Congress which recently advised Trump not to start the war without their approval per the constitution.

It has been historically proven that war and plunder are the most reliable sources of income. The fall of every empire is greed…

I’m an atheist. But there just might be a place somewhere(some call it Hell) where the spawn of who-knows-what(Satan) hatched one of the wickedest men alive, (“Caligula”) John Bolton. May he rot somewhere nasty and dark; very, very, dark. Peace

Don’t blame Bolton. The nutcases in England, if not the most of the UK want this every bit as much if not more than he does.

Iran can also block the Strait of Hormuz and crash the world economy. There is noting short of a nuke that can keep the strait open where at least 20-25% of the world’s oil ships through.

Not sure how nukes could keep theStrait of Hormuz open- but on the other hand, it might not be such a bad thing overall if those lanes were closed for some several years.

Rumored soon to be UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has a bit of a spotty record as London Mayor. I’ve read he promoted the notion of two highway bridges over the 20-mile wide English Channel to France and a shorter in miles but equally unsound highway span between Scotland and North Ireland. In these two examples of overreach Boris may have revealed his loyalty to car manufacturers, trucking interests, air travel and petroleum suppliers. Eh, whot? There’s a revealing connection there between another war for oil and which interests profit, namely the filthy rich of course including foul bigoted evil racists among these elite.
