Moyer worked for probably the most corrupt president ever , LBJ.

The flag part doesn’t bother me, as yes, it’s a symbol, but it’s just a piece of cloth that represents many things to many people. The part that bothers me is that the Civil War ended in 1865 and so WHY are humans acting as if black people are either slaves or less than people? PLUS, I do not understand how all of these black people keep getting shot in the back, or in their own bed and killed from shots fired in, and I really do not understand how so many black people can be shot in the BACK, and the the police keep getting away with this!

I really like to hear Tim Snyder’s remarks that the right-wingerWH occupant claims that the elections are false because those who swayed the vote were the blacks and black vote is illegal in other words everything wrong is the result of black people being allowed to participate in the world that belongs to whites. It is all about racism baby !

Bill Moyer has always worked for democracy and equality for all people. He is one of the few honorable journalists left in this country. If you take issue with him, I don’t know what you are basing that upon.

What everyone seems to be missing here is that flag sticks are prohibited at the US Capitol. There is security there that prevents attacks like this, prevents crowds of this size from being unmonitored, and there always was, until Jan. 6, 2021. This was a conspiracy, greenlighted at the top by “the Don.”

EXCELLENT conversation! Richardson’s views run wide and long.

The most important point I take from her is that Trump MUST admit he lost the 2020 election. Without that admission the insurrectionists will poison this country’s politics for years to come with this as their central fabulist notion.

And I will take that to my Republican senator in his impeachment vote: that without Trump’s admission, his vote to acquit does nothing to unify; it only make the sore fester and denigrates his own party.

I am grateful for Heather Cox Richardson’s newsletter that I receive daily via email.
Always a non-hyped telling of news events and often historical info added that illuminates the what the what.

More like The Great White Rope-A-Dope.
