Meanwhile Trump slams Jacinda in New Zealand for being responsible for a “big outbreak” of COVID in that Country even as he praised the Job he does in the USA.

New Zealand Infections per 1 million 331.
USA infections per 1 million 17244.

New Zealand deaths per 1 million due to COVID 4
USA deaths per million due to COVID 533.

Needless to say posting the numbers for Trump or his supporters is meaningless. they do not understand the concept of per capita and they all think a bigger number is better.

In the words of Trump.

Do you see what’s happening in New Zealand? They beat it, they beat it, it was like front-page news because they wanted to show me something.

Big surge in New Zealand, you know it’s terrible, we don’t want that, but this is an invisible enemy that should never have been let to come to Europe and the rest of the world by China.’

New Zealand, by the way, had a big outbreak, and other countries that were held up to try and make us look not as good as we should look, and we’ve done an incredible job,’ he said.

My Nephew lives in New Zealand and he says statements like these are why so many New Zealander’s refer to Trump as: THE AMERICAN IDIOT.

The author of this article articulates perhaps the best reasons of all for a truly representative political party of the masses being formed to prevent the two “corporate compromised” political parties from privitizing our lives.

Putting our total trust in only two political parties that have brought us to this deadly tragic situation of having an idiot in charge of our nation that has no respect for human life, is total insanity.

And yet 95% who vote in 77 days will give their support willingly.

In reality, the coronavirus is—or at least should be—teaching us that there can be no going back to that past.

All of history should teach us this: Time does not go around in cycles, only straight forward. There never is any going back to any moment. Just as you can’t snap your fingers and evoke a new being out of whole cloth, neither can you ever bring back anything like a previous moment. That’s how history works. It’s called entropy, the arrow of time, and, yes, SARS2 is refreshing the ancient lesson.

We now inhabit a dramatically revised planet, amid structures designed for the previous one. Such revision continually occurs, but sometimes, as in 2020, occurs in astonishing bursts of irreversible, inexorable obliteration of previous ways.

Here’s something ironic about the first week of school here in the Bay Area: Public school is online-only in all counties around here, I think, but if we were not online-only right now, amid this “historic lightning siege,” the intense wildfire smoke would have closed our schools by now.

Public schools represent one of the bedrock institutions of American democracy. Yet as a society we’ve stood aside as the very institutions that actually made America great were gutted and undermined by short-term thinking, corporate greed, and unconscionable disrespect for our collective future.
