Israeli elections have come and gone, delivering Benjamin Netanyahu a fifth term that soon will make him Israel’s longest serving prime minister. The toxic rhetoric that defined the weeks-long campaign, with candidates seeking to outdo each other in demeaning Palestinians and dismissing rights, will most likely endure.
Perhaps it is time to stop blaming Netanyahu or Likud or the “political class” and acknowledge the truth. This is the will of the great majority of Israel’s Jews.
Hi Roger_ Billings----yes it seems so, that devaluing the Palestinians as human beings is the plan-----it sounds so----like Germany in the 1930s-----and so many of the Israeli people seems be willing play the part of the Nazis.
But beware Israelis-----if the Palestinians were gone-------who would be on the bottom of the nation then?
The need to overpower and prosper seems so ingrained after 70 years since Nakba, and the dehumanizing of the Palestinians- and attempting of their total disappearance-----you have chose that slippery slope of bigotry------and who will be the next group of the despised when all the Palestinians are gone—because sadly the next group will all be made up of unfortunate Israelis. : (
