Purge the world population for increased profits.

Sounds cold. It is.

PB, it’s the same game from the right every day. We are on our own, no helping old ladies across the street. If they can’t get there safely on their own, screw them.

Right, Left, Center, it’s hard to tell much difference any more.

It’s only “words” we get.

I’m grateful to Oxfam for their reports on income inequality and its effect on communities around the world.

“The report lays out a number of actions governments should take, including providing emergency assistance; actively engaging women—“the backbone of local food systems”—in joining and leading decisions on fixing food systems; canceling poorer counties’ debts, backing U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres’s global ceasefire call and taking swift measures to tackle the climate crisis.”

Good ideas! To the extent possible, we need to push elected representatives to act on these larger issues. On a one-person basis, we can move our own food purchases to support local and regenerative farmers.

There is enough food to feed the world. All we need is the social and political will. Three percent of the Pentagon budget could end world hunger.
The World Beyond War website is a great resource that shows the numbers for diversification of war funds to peace funds.
