For the last three weeks, privacy advocates have been buffeted by two political whirlwinds. First, the reauthorization of the FISA Amendments Act two weeks ago, authored by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes.
Paul Ryan is concerned only about one thing: being one of the most corrupt politicians in Congress! Paul just got a $500,000.00 dollar gift to his campaign from of all people…THE KOCH BROTHERS!

Physics is phun!
Boy, this is complicated! But let me see if I have the gist:
Billionaires on one side of the aisle are bickering with billionaires on the other side of the aisle about the details and consequences of certain rules written by the same (or previous) billionaires and routinely ignored by the same billionaires, because what’s at stake is which group of billionaires should have the right to totally screw over us ordinary chumps.
Oh, and most of us chumps are really getting into the cheerleader role for one of these two groups.
Note how these Congress Critters refused to release this memo A couple weeks ago when the vote to extend FISA was voted on-
Now, with Trump all in and hoping for redemption it suddenly appears- Now that is Transparency from the transparency Republican party! These people are deliberately confusing-
Too late now…
There is no need to marry criticism of the appalling record that Nunes and Ryan have on matters of civil liberties, unconstitutional surveillance and the abuse of national security concerns, with defences of the FISA system, the Fusion GPS dossier and the Clinton campaign.
Marcy Wheeler knows this- preschoolers can see it- but for some reason she always befouls her eloquent and patriotic defences of the Constitution and justice with partisan point scoring which inevitably discredits the causes she puports to defend.
To put it plainly: Nunes is a crook in a caucus full of crooks. As a matter of fact it was members of that caucus-the GOP-which first hired Steele and set him to work on the disgusting work of tying for money.
But the release of the Nunes memo reveals two important things, firstly that the Obama administration and its executives were abusing their offices and the law to ‘put one over’ the FISA court (which exists to be misled and like it) and, secondly, that the police and intelligence agencies are attempting to impose (are imposing) their corrupt, partisan and dangerous political iobjectives on the White House.
To tell the world that the problem is the GOP is to mislead it and deliver it into the hands of, Marcy’s friends, the Democrats. Who are equally as bad and twice as dangerous.
I’m pretty sure that nether the Obama DOJ, the FBI or the FISA court were “abusing their offices and the law” when they issued a surveillance warrant in 2014 for the individual who wrote this:
“Over the past half year, I have had the privilege to serve as an informal advisor to the staff of the Kremlin in preparation for their Presidency of the G-20 Summit next month, where energy issues will be a prominent point on the agenda,” Carter Page wrote in the letter, dated August 25, 2013.
Nor were they in 2016 when that individual joined the staff of a US presidential campaign.
.A-mazing!!! Thank you. Now they need to come out with a maze kit for do it yourself mazes, then have a competition. How about a high school wood shop class?
Isn’t that called prostitution. Yes, Paul is owned by the Koch brothers and he is a leading advocate for a government of the rich, by the rich and for the rich as long as that bribe money keeps flowing into his pockets.
