The Other Baltimore Story: Ronald Hammond and ‘Routine Injustice’



It's often been stated how those at the bottom of a society are treated is a litmus test of that society's civility. However honesty demands that the existence of a 'bottom' in a society would negate any justification for the use of the term 'civility'. They are totally incompatible. But they are part of the very foundation of class structured, hierarchical societies. Eliminate class/hierarchy and the mechanisms that create, support and maintain that social structure and the 'bottom' disappears on its own.
