After President Trump’s first 100 days in office, it’s clear that his promises to help the working class were little more than a campaign ploy. His dismantling of Obama-era regulations like the Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces rule and deregulation of the financial industry reveal what he really cares about—lining the pockets of America’s ultra-rich.
It's too bad that a real budget for the people can't get any steam or support in Congress. They are so busy seeing how much more they can screw the poor and fatten their buddies and their own bulging wallets they forget who voted them in. So we'll continue to suffer the austerity imposed by the neoliberal economic policies that have been screwing average working Americans since the 1970's.
I support the People's Budget, but here's the thing:
I can guarantee that it won't garner majority support...from congressional Democrats.
On the other hand, a majority of congressional Dems support punching hippies.
So there's that.
A majority of hippies support punching congressional Dems.
