Karma…those who have a feeling for the things we do, or do not, may see the world we now live-in differently from others. Karma can also be seen as empathy in a sense…do we care about others, especially the innocent and most vulnerable? Do we care about and for the Natural World and all the creatures of Mother Earth or do we not? Or do we exploit and victimize others, despoil and poison the Earth to serve our own narrow selfish interests and the worshiped profits of capitalism above all else? Karma…
Wisdom has become a rare commodity, as has truth, empathy, and honor in this time and place
“He is a weak ruler who needs religion to uphold his government; it is as if he would catch his people in a trap. My people are going to learn the principles of democracy, the dictates of truth, and the teachings of science.” – Kemal Ataturk
“Ambition without wisdom is a dangerous thing” - Paladin (Gene Roddenberry)
“The whole fabric of our religion is based on superstitious belief in lies that have been foisted on us for ages by those directly above us, to whose personal profit and aggrandizement it was to have us continue to believe as they wished us to believe” – John Carter (Edgar Rice Burroughs)
Inmates took over the asylum with the advent of the Tea Party.
First they set fire to the curtains,
then they set fire to the beds,
then they danced around in circles
as the flames roared o’er their heads.
