The Politics of Kneeling: A Tribute to Colin Kaepernick

Everyone IMO should have straight up respect for Colin Kaepernick. He didn’t just protest in an unpopular/unfriendly venue, risk a huge sum of money in doing so, but also supports this cause and others with his wallet. He deserves much more than he’s received.

I’d add that the author gives way too much credit to NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodall.

He issued an apology to Kaepernick AFTER it became clear that the movement Colin represents so bravely is steamrolling the Goodall’s league. This is another case of after-the-fact greenwashing by a league who always puts money ahead of principles. Which is easy for team owners – very few of them have any principles.

An excellent article! Yes, Kaep should be Man Of The Year someday, a principled and courageous individual.

Maybe it’s changed since I tuned in, when the scuttlebutt was vague hinting of a place for Kaep on some team “as a back-up” – They get confused because Comish Goodall only appears as a stand-up.
