The Sacred Task of Replanting

The Sacred Task of Replanting

Kathy Kelly

“A nation that will keep people in slavery for 244 years will "thingify" them—make them things. Therefore they will exploit them, and poor people generally, economically. And a nation that will exploit economically will have foreign investments and everything else, and will have to use its military to protect them. All of these problems are tied together. What I am saying today is that we must go from this convention and say, 'America, you must be born again!'” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Organizing people for protest against the misdeeds of our misrulers is never a failure; you are building cadres for the new state that will replace this one. Revolution is not just conspirators building bombs and printing clandestine leaflets in the basement. It is preparing people to get down to work when the enemy regime collapses of its own corruption, which is precisely what is going on now.
Praying to mythical spooks and spirits is well and good. Work and study better.

Thanks, Kathy, for this insightful commentary.
And thanks to CD for publishing this. Peace.

The way McCain got that slipped into a defense spending bill shows just what a slimeball he is. He beneath contempt and yet still treated as a “war hero”.
