The terrible twos are finally here, And this is the time that I really do fear. —Gerard McNeil, The Terrible Twos
The fact that Trump and family are profiting AT ALL from his presidency is beyond a doubt a conflict of interests.
Melania must have Donald “cock-blocked” for him to have Nikki Haley threaten Assad that the United States is “locked and loaded” if “alleged” chemical weapons are used again.
I’d go as far to say that Trump is profiting from every bomb dropped in the numerous countries we know about, and those we don’t know about.
‘As Mr. Trump explained in a tweet: “Now we have a Trade Deficit of $500 billion a year, with Intellectual Property Theft of another $300 Billion. We cannot let this continue.”’
If we subjected Mr. Trump to Chinese water torture that would reduce the imbalance on the intellectual property component.
Trump’s notable slickness in pouting and petulant ‘wagging the dog’ exposes him to other such players who are no doubt studying how to best him at his own game. They in turn could very well provide his toppling over into the deep rut he is wearing in the fields he frequents, without even needing to say ‘bend over, smile’ and wag the massive backside while the rest of the world looks down on his self-induced lowness in life. Our task in the mean time is to work to maintain stability in local and regional communities and governance, if we can. The myths of empire are ripe for disengagement. The art of recognizing and fostering alternative models by engaging the local problems we face is well under way and increasingly well articulated. We live in the worst of times which mean they are also some of the best of times, if, no, WHEN we rise to the challenge.
That would torture the water more than Trump.
