Progressives believe that “trump hasn’t known what he has been doing” at their own peril.

For the past half century the GOP has been the most successful organized crime syndicate in history, and ever since the 1985 Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) formation their success has been enabled by the Dimcritters.

The GOP is astute at playing dumb while making steady progress toward their goal of a neofeudal paradise for the 1% and neofeudal hell for the 99%. Trump and Moscow Mitch stacked federal courts to the extent that those courts have become the defacto legislative branch. The 1% and their corporations can take Congressional legislation that they don’t like to court to be overturned.

And what more proof that what you post is true than the immutable fact the GOP is now a Mafiaocracy complete with it’s Mafia Don who preemptively pardoned his Mafia, Lieutenants who did not testify against him and were incarcerated and found guilty of many crimes!

Nancy Maclean’s book Democracy in Chains details the GOP’s end game, while Reaganland by Rick Perlstein dissects the appeal of Reagan with a surgeon’s skill. How his handlers rounded up various right-wing factions like christian fundamentalists, segregationists, economists who wanted complete deregulation of businesses, et al. The usual suspects you find in a dying empire ready and willing to take power and keep it. Reagan appealed to a certain demographic especially, the worn-out working class democrats born in the 1920’s who had survived the Great Depression and WW2, and now were facing drastic declines in their living conditions. Reagan had been an actor who played the roles of nice guys. So he should be a good leader, right?
Trump built on that celebrity worship, that belief in fantasy instead of hard, cold reality. He even cribbed Reagan’s slogan. His base were the grandchildren of the Reagan democrats, who were the victims of Reagan’s economic policies but thought maybe, this time, the new celebrity god would improve their way of life.
Meanwhile, up pops Covid. I think Trump would have won a second term if Covid hadn’t upset the applecart.
As for Yeshua being compared to Trump, He would say, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven” Or, “What doth it profit a man to gain the world but lose his soul”.

“$$$$$$$$ ARE THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL” also works.

Understanding replaces forgiveness in the mind of a master.

Trump is no master I think.

Trump is a "Racist, a Conman, and a Cheat."

No one has ever said it better.

There are many people like that .I bet he doesn’t think he is ?
He finds everything perfectly acceptable.

“No one does anything wrong given their model of the world.”

Its the model we must re-sculpt.

And because this has been going on for so long, what more proof do you need that Trump had nothing to do with it, is too stupid and ignorant to have had anything to do with it, and was being skillfully manipulated by the likes of Mitch McConnell?

The biblical phrase (from the King James version, is:

“1 Timothy 6:10: For the love of money is the root of all of evil : which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Note that it is the love of money, and not the money itself which is the root of all evil, and that is why today’s evangelicals exist in the height of hypocrisy. Gaining, expanding, and hoarding wealth is seemingly all that appeals to them, and especially to their preachers. Of course, the majority of billionaires are probably not devout, practicing evangelical Christians. but are worshipped as being chosen by God by those who are.

Right ON, Ray –  The biggest difference between 'Poop-Lickan neofeudalism and DimWit-Rat neofeudalism is that the former openly includes funny-dementalist “christian” pretenses extricated from the Dark Ages and the latter pretends to include a wider variety of false religions.

Good point, Trump is not the cause of fascism… he is the result of fascism.

Trump supporters share a behavior of viewing reality television shows. These shows are on right after the dinner hour. Tv commercials push high carbohydrate products and some folks de elope gastro issues. Sitin there, watchin the apprentice. When fundamental religious individuals reach a carbo saturation level and the moon is in particular stage, anything can happen.

Hi sekhmetsdaighter:
And LOL, that camel had to get on its knees to pass through that tiny gate known as the “needle.”
It would never happen, but I would enjoy seeing Trump on his knees for all the death and horror that he has foisted on the people of the planet. : (

Interesting insight, Mr. Jones.   Should we assume that the combination of carbo saturation and ‘moon’ that you’re referring to is ‘Blue Moon’ beer?

These are the type of people that abuse, kill, torture Palestinians. They are so vengeful, scum.

Mycelium. Largest organism on earth is mycelium. In Oregon or washington state, i forget.

Again - and with respect - let’s not lose sight of the fact that fewer foreigners were murdered by us - or with our assistance - over the past four years than under any President since Eisenhower’s first term, notwithstanding that Tel Aviv didn’t get a real stranglehold on us until the Kennedy era.

Trump is simply the low hanging fruit because of his antics, unpolished as they are. He will, however, prove to be significantly less deadly than the incoming Harris to Venezuelans, Iranians, Iraqis and anyone else who AIPAC labels as an existential threat to our national security.

The truly scary thing is that she’ll be able to get away with it since no one will dare offer any criticism whatsoever because, well, y’know … .

HI Apache;
I liked what you said until the ending paragraph.
