The U.S. Military Moves Deeper into Africa

Nick Turse

General Thomas Waldhauser sounded a little uneasy. “I would just say, they are on the ground. They are trying to influence the action,” commented the chief of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) at a Pentagon press briefing in March, when asked about Russian military personnel operating in North Africa. “We watch what they do with great concern.”

The U.S./Euro/Russian/Chinese militarization of Africa is a result of the continuing effort to appropriate oil, other natural resources, and vast land amounts of land for their countries and corporations based in their countries.

As usual, the U.S. is way in the lead because of Africomm, which was a small agency in the Defense Department until OB of the $400k speech, $35 mil book deal, and Nobel Peace Prize coordinated the neoliberal Democrats and neoconservative Rethugs into an organization efficient enough to get the upper hand in the continent of Africa to march forward to global domination.

"Full Spectrum Dominance" in spades-

"We are ruled, though it may be difficult to imagine, by a small dynastic power structure, largely consisting of powerful banking families, such as the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and others. They emerged in controlling the financial system, extended their influence over the political system, the educational system, and, through the major foundations, have become the dominant social powers of our world, creating think tanks and other institutions which shape and change the course of society and modern human history."
