Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple all need to be broken up under anti-trust laws. (I’m sure I missed a few companies)
Sarah must be one of those greedy small business owners only interested in making a buck while in the middle of the pandemic. Shame on her. Doesn’t she know that $$$ spent must be funneled to the elites and their conglomerates who are ushering in the “new normal.”
Sarah must have missed the articles about Congress enabling Amazon, Google, Facebook, Walmart and other behemoths to start their own banks, while not being required to maintain reserves that banks must maintain to be eligible for FDIC coverage. Then the community bank that Sarah’s business banks with will also be put out of business.
The problem with shopping local is that too many of the shops like Piepenburg’s are boutiques that offer little or nothing to proles:
Try before you buy at this South Minneapolis shop: lemon, garlic, basil, or orange extra virgin olive oil, 18-year aged balsamic vinegar, Greek, or Egyptian extra virgin olive oils, and nut and seed oils. Try the sweet/tart combination of balsamic vinegar with pear— co-owner Sarah Piepenburg suggests trying it with seltzer for a zesty drink.
How many people do you know who have a desperate need for 18yo balsamic vinegar, or orange extra-virgin olive oil (possibly from stolen Palestinian olive groves)
