Let me preface this by stating the obvious. Abortion is, for all practical purposes, illegal or impossible to access, in over half the US states already. Nothing short of flipping those states governments from conservative to liberal is going to change that anytime soon.
The only thing that will save Roe v Wade at this point in US history would be a calculated effort by the Republican Party to lobby their conservative justices to avoid overturning Roe before the 2022 mid terms as that act alone may just mobilize the usually lethargic mid term democratic voting base to actually show up in November of next year.
Then again, they may just have gerrymandered enough districts and passed enough voter suppression laws that they may simply not care. Besides, unless the democrats would gain enormous amounts of seats in congress for 2023 and actually use that power to reverse awful things the SCOTUS has or will do, nothing will change.
That’s why the GOP doesn’t seem worried about 2022 yet. The federal courts are already there to serve as a buttress against the democrats. The GOP knows they are outnumbered. That’s why they set it up this way.

As a native born Texan I am disgusted by Texas politics over the past several decades. Run by small men, so afraid of women, that will stop at nothing to attempt to medicate their own inadequacies with cruelty. The whole world is watching. BDS.

It is the woman’s choice, not the president’s, not any judge on any court, not congress, not a governor, not a state legislature, not the man who got her pregnant, only hers.
