This is a breaking news story and may be updated...

An eight-year-old Guatemalan boy died in the custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shortly after midnight on Christmas Day, the second death of a detained migrant child this month alone.

According to the Associated Press:

WTF I am ashamed to be called an American. When are the adults in Washington going to stand up to these lunatics. Enough of this crazy man.

If there’s one thing that makes America proud, its our superiority in killing and destroying human life, in fact it may be the only thing America does well.

Kristen Nielsen needs to be held responsible. Her policies are causing probably these deaths. Put her on trial for murder, if convicted, lock her up for life.

Children are being abused and dying in the police state of the U.S. gulag every day. Children around the world are being bombed every day by the heroes of the U.S. military. This is one more example of the imperial capitalist permanent war state in “action.”

#8

“The U.S. is a country that murders children both directly and indirectly in a myriad of ways.”

The moral and ethical questions we are grappling with are not going to be solved by the neoliberal/neocon duopoly. They created this reality with our help and they maintain it with our help.

“So this is Christmas and what have you done…?”

And yet our RETARDED,TEMPER-TANTRUM -THROWING FAKE PRESIDUNCE lives to tweet idiocy another day … what’s wrong with this picture???

No one will be held accountable until we start to see this contemporary situation as the fruit of a corrupt and self-deluding system. Yesterday, I had the honor of rereading some pearls of wisdom from Ayn Rand–the High Priestess of Neoliberalism. It is pretty obvious where this new form of social degeneracy comes from. The callous and sociopathic philosophy advocated by Rand rules our society. We pretend that it is about this or that individual leader, but it is a system of belief that abstracts and alienates just about everybody and everything. This ideology exists because we let it exist.

Point on.

I share your outrage about the hypocrisy of so many. But of course, it is not just the so-called-Christians. As I stated above in other terms, these days it is the Neoliberal Religion that teaches us to be compassionless. It uses any and all belief systems as far as it can corrupt them. I have known sincere Christians, Jews, Muslims, and atheists–few of them condone the forms of cruelty practiced by our society.

  1. Boko Haram kidnapped hundreds of girls from Chibok in Nigeria and “disappears” them.
  2. The Trump Administration kidnaps thousands of girls, boys and toddlers and “disappears” them.
  3. Mothers and Fathers left in despair. Children traumatized, some in psychological shock, abused.

No difference between what Boko Haram and Trump, Session and Good Nazi Nielsen have done.

Impeachment on criminal grounds of kidnapping, forced rendition, statutory rape (in some circumstances) by crossing certain state lines with a minor must proceed immediately. Those reps who do not try to bring a motion for impeachment are complicit in crimes which will likely follow against these kids including: rape, assault, child abuse, and murder.

2nd only to our mentor and overseer, Israel

No doubt that the rest of the world must look at us U.S. citizens as either cowards or monsters.
And who or what constitutes reprisal, or 9-11 attacks? Our bullshit, inhumane treatment of others, that’s what.

I see everybody is spewing their usual hatred for the US, but does anyone have a solution for this?

I mean besides the obvious one.

Take it to the top ! The person that appointed her to the job and those that accepted that she keep her position are also responsible.

“When Herod realized that he had been tricked by the Magi he was furious, and he sent and killed all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under according to the time he had learned from the Magi” – from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 2.

The U.S. government is not the same as the U.S. country or the U.S. people!

Similarly, the super-rich 1% are not the same as the 50% of Americans who are “poor or near poor.”

Over-generalizing is a very common mistake in thinking – and it’s potentially very harmful.

Learn to spot it – in others and in ourselves – and develop the habit of catching it and correcting it!

It’s illogical – and it’s grievously untrue and unfair – to blame, say, MLK for what the FBI or CIA did.

Similarly, don’t let anyone blame all Americans for what only a few Americans do.

#23

And I appreciate your point too. I just think we have to band together with the ‘redeemable’ no matter what story they choose to live within, providing it leads to positive social and environmental values. The proof is in the pudding. I have been surprised to meet Christians that are true environmentalists–because of their religion.

What critics need to address is that neoliberalism is the face of a new fascism and as such it speaks to the need to repudiate the notion that capitalism and democracy are the same thing, renew faith in the promises of a democratic socialism, create new political formations around an alliance of diverse social movements, and take seriously the need to make education central to politics itself.-----Henry Giroux

Food for thought.

CBP needs a drastic makeover.

ICE needs to be obliterated.

You are right about Rand’s ideas and their damage to our culture and politics.
