These traitors to the Republic will never be able to wash the blood or the stink of insurrection off of themselves.

Their shame is endless.

Many, many of these miscreants are lurking in the Federalist Society, from which Cruz and Hawley were hatched as young fascists. Sarah Isgur Flores (now a cable TV Bushy) once said “Ted was the person every Harvard Federalist Society member aspired to be." I don’t want to be unkind about the very fine people who wrote this petition, but I can tell you that many if not most of them, even the most liberal, make a sport of sucking up to the Federalists in their institutions and law firms, holding joint events between them and ACS, and so forth. This partly explains the disastrous loss of the judiciary over the last 30 years.

I very much doubt either of them are capable of shame.

Yes. The short version, numerous corporations announced today (grandstanding) that they would stop funding the campaigns of those purportedly involved in the insurrection. To quote the Queen, er Nancy: “Biden was elected,” so what’s it matter now.

The real problem is, what the bloody hell has to happen to wake people up. Corporations should never have been allowed to be contributing to political campaigns in the first place. And why they’d shine the spotlight on themselves now is more than telling.

In all sectors—health care, financial services, hospitality, retail—major corporations are cutting off the Republicans they previously supported, specifically the 147 House and Senate Republicans who voted to overturn the presidential election. … Some companies are less courageous [so say DailyKos staff], deciding the safe thing to do is to stop donations to “both sides,” like Citibank and JPMorgan Chase & Co. along with Goldman Sachs, Boston Scientific, Microsoft, Hallmark, and Facebook.

It’s not good for business when the great howling masses are restless.

Disclaimer: this in no way, shape or form dissolves responsibility of those who created havoc on the Capitol. No one should support the killing, maiming, or injuring of police officers (and others) that were outnumbered and doing their best to do their jobs when overrun by the mob. There is no excuse for the violence that took place at the Capitol.

traitors should not be allowed to participate in the country they tried to overthrow–in fact these traitors should be arrested-tried, convicted and then sent to jail where they belong–and I’m being kind with the punishment–in the old days they would have been arrested ,tried ,convicted , and then executed for their treason

Capitalism was always going to bring us to this devastating result. Withholding money now for these folks won’t stop these same capitalists from supporting the next bunch of fascists.
