Tillerson Out and Pompeo In: 'From Exxon's CEO to the Koch Brothers' Most Loyal Lapdog'

Julia Conley, staff writer

While applauding the end of former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson's tenure as Secretary of State, green groups and government watchdogs on Tuesday denounced President Donald Trump's pick to replace him—current CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

Although Trump and the GOP have put the bar lower than its ever been, Tillerson is one of Trump’s best appointees (in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king).

Pompeo will be a strategic player in the GOP’s ungoing descent to a dark age.

#3

Sure looks that way !

The deep state is now 100% established.

#4

And Congress just goes right along with the illegitimacy.
Another three years to continue the deconstruction and sedition?
No problem.

#5

Pompeo is a raving crazy.

The madness never ends in the USA. No doubt about it, the USA is on the way to becoming the world’s biggest shithole. Trump was merely projecting his plans for the USA onto the rest of the world when he spoke those words. Anyone who has the means to do so might consider leaving the USA now before it completely implodes into utter madness and insanity. And for god sake, don’t believe the Demoncrats are any better. They are not going to do anything but help their oligarch owners destroy the USA.

#7

Any bets on how many stoopid Dems will vote aye on this nomination?

#8

Trump’s byzantine internal moves don’t matter. What matters is that there’s ZERO effective opposition to the Duopoly and that’s where we have to put our (limited) resources and energy.

#9

From my perspective, the deep state was 100% established covertly, a long time ago, with the assassinations of JFK;MLK; and RFK. Trump to me… is just the overt, inevitable result.

#10

True, but doesn’t that fact make Pompeo a perfect fit for the dysfunctional… Trump administration?

“Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” -Winston Churchill

The sociopath nutter-in-chief thinks he’s still lord of “The Apprentice” firing anyone that doesn’t kiss his filthy ass. Tillerson was clearly in his appraisal of trump as “a fuckin moron”…

I think part of trumps firing Tillerson had to do with Israel influence, the 6 nation Iran deal, and the war Israel/nutty-yahoo wants against Iran - that is a US war against Iran. the other part is Tillerson’s relationship with Russia that didn’t bend-over enough for trump - perhaps culminating in the poisoning of the ex-Russian spy in England and Tillerson blaming Russia - depends on the timing of who said/knew what when…

i think trump is a de facto Israeli agent of sorts, that has been, and is, following netanyahus direction on Jerusalem, war against Iran, ignoring Israeli "settlements & expansions, and a host of other zionist wish-list extremist rot.

In addition the Russian oligarchs that control Russia, Putin, and the banks that loan the trump crime family billions, and have dirt on trump (a lot) didn’t like Tillerson’s attitude…that MO and actions from trump amounts to treason…a hanging offense…

What makes you think you only have 3 years? With the democrats not giving an inch to the progressives and preaching the status quo…selling us out to Wall Street…again…what makes you think they can get enough votes to win in 2020? If they do win, what makes you think they will be any better? I for one do not want war with Russia…over nothing but insane blame deflection. Frankly chapdrum we are fucked to the max no matter what happens.

Please watch this and check out the website .

Thank you, Julia Conley; I was extremely distressed by the sycophant media going all gushy about this change. As bad as Tliireson may have been for trying to work within the confines of his budget, we are well on our way to the dark days of torture

#16

I don’t disagree.

I have a question for which I have no research. The news pundits said that Pompeo graduated 1st in his class at West Point. Based on what I have seen from our West Point people in this country this does not say much for their level of intelligence or understanding. It has been a presupposition that West Point is a highly challenging academic institution. Is this just BS? Is West Point just a glorified community college and that the military apologist simply prop up as false information?

#18

Excellent! Corroborates much of what I have been saying. Thank you so much for the link. Kevin Schipp nails it!

#19

Thank you I am kind of new here but I watch your stuff on the blog and I like what you have to say… . I hope you go back on that site and listen to the show on geoengineering which most people do not want to know about. By the way, his shows cover alot of stuff not just that.

Climate change denial is a form of genocidal warfare certain to produce a death toll in the Billions. Charles and David Koch are to the core Aryan supremacists who fully support the worldwide extermination of people of color and the poor including American citizenry. Casino mob boss don Trump is their entertaining idiot boy employed to initiate WWIII.
