I salute the Plowshares 7, they are among the finest moral humans on Earth.

the jury found them guilty?

May I ask: guilty of what? Who the hell were these people on the jury! To paraphrase Orwell: in a time of universal deceit, people like: Manning, Assange, Snowden and these peace activists are found guilty for speaking the truth.

These folks are the very definition of heroes. They should be saluted on the front page of every paper and the headline of every news show. Instead, few Americans have heard of them.

(from the article) “the jury found them guilty of four counts of destruction and depredation of government property in excess of $1,000, trespassing, and conspiracy”

“Who the hell were these people on the jury!”

People who were vetted to ensure they did not have independent knowledge of the group’s history, or the principles they espouse. People who heard the group members themselves admit to actions which satisfied the specific terms of the counts against them. People who were not allowed to hear their necessity defense, because the judge banned it. People who were not allowed to see the full video that the group took of themselves during the action, but were only allowed to see the prosecution’s edited version. People who were under threat of prosecution and possible imprisonment if they did not obey the judges instructions.

You don’t have to have a kangaroo jury in order to run a kangaroo court.

Excellent reply…thanks! .
