Titanpointe: The NSA’s Spy Hub in New York, Hidden in Plain Sight

Ryan Gallagher, The Intercept, Henrik Moltke, The Intercept

They called it Project X. It was an unusually audacious, highly sensitive assignment: to build a massive skyscraper, capable of withstanding an atomic blast, in the middle of New York City. It would have no windows, 29 floors with three basement levels, and enough food to last 1,500 people two weeks in the event of a catastrophe.

By whose authority does this building exist in our midst, spying upon one and all? If you didn't ask to be spied upon, and I didn't ask to be spied upon, what the hell is it doing in OUR country spying upon US? In many communities of the USA, if a person builds a building without first getting a building permit, the structure is torn down. What group of citizens was consulted, and gave their permission, before this Monument To Presumed Guilt was erected? Are you OK with that? What are you going to do about this Constitutionally-criminal edifice?
