Today I have called on the Senator to meet with the Speaker and all interested parties to sit down and discuss impeachment and or impeachment inquiry. Enough is enough!

Hypocrite Warren thinks the U.S. is above international law so who cares about her political maneuvers that are all so disengenuous.

“Assange is a bad actor who has harmed U.S. national security — and he should be held accountable,” said Warren. “

Sure sounds good to me Lizzy, just like all of your other plans over the years like taking on the big Banks. So where are these plans of yours that never came to fruition? Promises, promises… Prove something to the people!

Discovery of truth and reporting it (even whistle blowers) needs no accounting for. Whistle blowers need protection from fascist government officials. It’s those officials that need to be held accountable for hiding facts from the public. “Just gimme some truth.” John Lennon

Warren has good ideas, and alternatives and a vision are needed, because her party has no vision, no policy or ideological coherence and proposes no alternatives. But, she is horrible on foreign policy and goes back and forth on single payer, which is huge for me. I, personally, am suspicious. One structural change we need is single payer, and while she has good ideas, most will require lots of organizing and time. Single payer, however, has popular support, already has mass movements behind it and could happen, if the right people were put in power and if they were pressured by movements. Yet, she isn’t there pushing strongly for it. It is easier to come up with policy ideas that we can organize towards in the coming years than it is to push through needed changes now. Do I trust that she would work to push for these policies and could help to form movements to push them through? No, I dont. I trust Bernie in that regard, he has a history of that, AOC does too (although less obviuosly) Warren doesn’t. I would trust her more if she was there to push single payer through, but she isn’t that person it seems. I do like a lot of her policy ideas, again, and that is needed, but I dont have tons of faith in her as far as engendering movements to make those things a reality, and I am put off by her pressuring AOC to endorse her. I wish she did for Bernie in 2016 what she wants AOC to do for her now. For a number of reasons, and I think others would match up better with Trump in the general election. Having said all that, if it is her or Biden, Warren all day. As much as I have problems with her, she is better than most of those running. But, looking at the duds running, that isn’t saying tons either.

I agree with her, but there should be something in the measure that ensures more independence of the Department of Justice from the President. We can’t have the Attorney General act as the personal lawyer for the President just as Barr is doing.

More pabulum for the masses from Warren.

What makes Warren believe Trump’s Dept of Justice would indict him? William Barr, US Attorney General and Trump appointee heads the DOJ.

Yep, lots of “ Ideas” that never amount to anything. I read she’s now the front runner. Could be many reasons, but many can’t seem to connect with having Bernie as President: He’s too old. He’s another white male, not cool with the word Socialism… and he’s a Jew. Honestly, I’d rather resign myself to a Warren than Trump any day! This Monster must be thrown out!

Warren has proven she can implement her ideas/polices. After all, she set up the consumer protection agency Bush II destroyed after the housing bubble took assets from the people and destroyed the world economy.
No one has made, or tired to make the middle class whole from the banking fraud that siphoned off wealth from the middle class to the ultra rich, let alone tried to help the poor the way Warren has.
She’s a great organizer

Why is the justice Department in control of POTUS? There should be a better way. Founding Fathers didn’t seem to think there was ever going to be a rogue POTUS.

It is up to we the voters. She will need a congress that will go along with her…

Certainly a success, but it came in the wake of the crash when the country wanted things like that done. And she did push for it, thankfully, but it wasn’t the same thing as building a grassroots campaign that aims at structural changes. At the present time, she has nowhere near as many people on the ground as Bernie. No one running does. She also, which is a fact, has no experience on anything like that. Her work on important issues has been in academia, not on the streets. But, none the less, the CFPB is important, as is her academic work. I like a number of her policies. However, of all the structural changes we need, we are closest to single payer. She has gone back and forth on it. So, it is a situation where she gives lukewarm support to the most realistically possible structural change in the short to medium term, and offers up policies that don’t at the present time have near as much energy behind them. I really like her support for public banking, but the support for that needs to be built. I support her on creating a government owned company that would produce drugs at cost, but that will take a lot of organizing. The things that are right there are increasing the minimum wage, single payer, much more expansive government investment in dealing with the environmental crisis, etc. She is for a lot of that, but it isn’t as if she’s led the parade. Someone else running did change the conversation a lot in regards to important issues like single payer. And I find her positions on foreign policy to often be pretty bad. Not Bolton bad, but certainly problematic.

There is no weight limit in professional politics. If AOC had only obtained fake I.D., she could be running for the Office of President. After a night pounding shots of Jagermeister, AOC looks as old as Nancy Pelosi.

I think Warren will be the nominee-----and she may be the right person for the times—because there is something fundamentally wrong with this economy—but she seems very inline with the military and not supportive of real healthcare reform.

Well at least Warren called for Barr’s removal??? No commentary about Barr’s fireside chat as he continues his lying campaign for the president------did this reach the one day news extinction ??? The sitting AG is spinning lies and people just go on like its no big deal ???

And I disagree with Warren on this-----Mueller explained why it would be improper to charge a president if he can’t respond. Democrats need to do their job and hold the president accountable.

Yeah, I don’t agree, nor do I think she is the best match up with Trump. And I don’t see how you change much in the economy without single payer. Thousands will still die every year, we will still have job lock, bankruptcies will still be massive, the system will still be inefficient and the growth in the costs of healthcare will continue to outpace wage growth. So, how much can you do economically to overcome those massive direct costs and social costs? It isn’t a minor thing, and I am a cancer survivor with battles ahead. My life matters.

It’s kind of amazing how indifferent so many people are now towards Sanders on the left. He has done more to push the entire conversation and the Overton Window to the left, has done more to inspire people to run for office than any politician on the left in decades (not an exaggeration), and all the reasons used to not support him are nonsensical. People that just a year ago were appreciating the massive impact he had, now they lazily brush him to the side by just giving in to nonsensical attacks they see on MSNBC or CNN. He calls himself a socialist, he’s old, he’s a white guy, etc. (an old white guy like Biden is cool though). They all don’t really oppose him because his policies would actually take on powerful interests, because they know that he is serious about change, because his policies would challenge the power of their employers and because those on TV have their own ideological and class biases and just use silly logic to pretend it is other things. Why is he not the person we need, especially given his record (he was fighting for these things when Warren was a Republican corporate lawyer), how serious he is about social change and his massive grassroots support? Who knows. And could she not just as much play a really important role in his administration, especially if he is a better general election match up with Trump? Would she not make a good VP?

(sarcasm) While we are at it, sign the USA up for the International Criminal Court, and make sure the USA adheres to it. Noam Chomsky said that every US president since WWII has committed war crimes and international crimes against humanity. We won’t have world justice until US Presidents can expect to be removed from office and imprisoned in The Hague. (That includes Obama (and HRC) for his Libyan intervention.) (/sarcasm)

Right On!!   Like Justices of the SCOTUS, the A.G. and Heads of the FBI and CIA etc. should be nominated by the President as at present, but once confirmed by 60% of the Senate they should be immune from presiduncial interference and removable only upon Impeachment by a majority of the House and a subsequent 60% vote of the Senate.  IMHO, this should apply to ALL federal judgeships as well, so as to make the entire Judiciary and DOJ – not just SCOTUS – as separate from the Executive Branch as reasonably possible.

But a president WOULD be able to respond.

Remember that Mueller gave Orange Ass Trump many opportunities to contribute to the investigation, which he just shoved aside or airily answered with nothings.
