Who didn’t see this coming? They wrote a check, and threw a sacrificial lamb under the bus.

Does anyone know if bullets from the other two cop’s guns were found in the young woman they murdered?

Or, were all eight slugs from the cop who was charged?

Just more proof, that when it comes to the police, BLACK LIVES DO NOT MATTER!

No justice, no peace. It may not be always at the surface, but the disquietude remains. Thank you for your life of giving Breonna.

The City used taxpayer money to bribe the family, and let the murderers go free.
America is a dying empire, and a police state.

What I would like to know is how the hell does Kentucky–or any state for that matter–have a thing like a “No-knock Law” which is in clear violation of the 4th Amendment? Or is that the plan to have a weakened 4th Amendment to justify a mis-read, overarching 2nd Amendment?
I agree, BigB; the ol’ here’s some money; we blame him; now go away.

Right wing militia members are all ready prowling the streets there in anticipation of BLM protests.

Yup.

You may have missed the charge. The cop was charged with ‘wanton endangerment’
of others. Apparently one or more shots went astray and could have injured or killed
someone besides Ms. Taylor. Welcome to American Grand Juries. Room of the Moron
covered in bull shi* and secrecy.

the city of Louisville agreed to pay Taylor’s family $12 million dollars—believed to be the largest settlement ever reached for a black woman killed by a police officer in the U.S.—

Does anyone out there in cyberspace know what the Taylor family had to agree to in exchange for the $12 million settlement? Sounds like a bribe to me.

Well, so much for the ham sandwich theory of grand jury indictments.

The USA is one of the only Countries that has a grand jury process. The system appears to be something designed just to protect the white majority from any crimes they might commit against peoples of color. It appeals to racism and white supremacy.

Justice is not blind in the USA. If your skin dark you get no justice.

That’s your cue to rant about how important it is to vote for the candidate who brags about writing the crime bill that led to mass incarceration. And his running mate, who defeated a progressive sitting AG, so she could put 1500 black folks in jail for peddling weed.

Go ahead, Carol, decry the police state with one side of your mouth and support it with other.

Here, have some hypocrisy:

Apparently “wanton endangerment” is when one fires off their weapon in a reckless manner and there a risk that a white person gets hit by the bullets.

A serious crime indeed!

It really no surprise a Jury in Kentucky arrived at this verdict. Way back in the War of 1812 the US was having problems getting enough Volunteers to fight the British and take Canada. A General went to Kentucky to drum up support. The main part of his speech was not that the USA in trouble but that any Volunteers would get to kill “redskins” as the traitorous British were allying with them. Kentucky volunteers signed up in droves.

It’s been said a good prosecutor could get a Grand Jury to “indict a ham sandwich”, and the reverse is more than true, that a cop in a suit (what prosecutors are) can present a case tailored to do what he wants the outcome to be, and that is always to protect cops at all costs, even when evidence is overwhelming and the crime manifest; regardless the enormity of the crime or the gross negligence and “cop mentality” that does such rotten shite!.
Cops and prosecutors and those that make law all work for the same goals and interests, and would rather see thousands people killed, innocent or not, than prosecute cops! Killings of people at the hands of depraved cops, following legal pathways, designed to intimidate and further cop mentality, and downpress the people, most especially people of color and the poor of any color are rampant and obvious beyond any measure!

Justice? BS We ain’t got no fuckin justice only each other and soon we all will have to fight for our lives and families, either one way or the other!

SAY HER NAME! - BREONNA TAYLOR!

Pay no attention Carol to SB’s that attack and manipulate regardless the thread; they have zero empathy, reason, integrity or wisdom, only their jobs as trolls and hateful shallow one-track minds.

Sorry, but unlike yourself and others in your “Dems are always bad” meme army, I don’t go off-topic to insert Biden into every article comments section.
But since you did, you made a poor choice.
Whatever Biden has done to support the police state is nothing compared to Trump and Barr.
In fact, Trump has openly encouraged police to harm arrestees, defended police killings, slagged BLM, said that police beating journalists is “beautiful,” and his corrupt toady Barr organized a police riot to harm non-violent protesters so Trump could have an upside-down Bible photo op.
Your deflections and whataboutisms on behalf of Trump just don’t cut it.
Try harder.

Biden wrote and passed the bill. Mass incarceration. Trump’s “law and order” bullshit dovetails perfectly with the tough guy crap from your candidate: “Lock the SOBs up.” Who passed The First Step Act, by the way?

I see you have no response on Trump’s donations to Kamala Harris.

Of course we could see this coming. Why do you think they boarded up all the government buildings in Louisville? The minority community and supporters need to storm the police station and court house and burn them to the effing ground. Then they need to put out a hit on the prosecutor.
