The risk to any of us from terrorism is miniscule. Here’s a comparison:

Between 2007 and 2014, 100 Americans were killed in terrorist attacks (not just in the US, but worldwide). Data here

During that same period, 239 Americans were killed by lightning. Data here.

And we won’t even get into the abundant inadvertent applicants for The Darwin Award, which I suspect far outdistances the fatalities inflicted by Mo’ Natures static discharges, though the two of course have some overlap.

How can you have a war on someone if you don’t demonize them? That way we can kill thousands inc. women and children all justified by the threat of terrorism.
