Donald Trump should be arrested and thrown in jail. Trump’s ugly coup attempt was traitorous and foul. Trump and his accomplices must be held accountable for their horrendous crimes.
If they are not held accountable, then they will try again and again, to overthrow democracy, until they succeed.
We must stop them.

It would be stunning if Trump did any jail time for his nefarious deeds as it seems that the elite will always protect their own when they seem to believe that, despite what evidence is uncovered, serious punishment is only for the “little people.”

we have a Constitutional answer to this insurrection–it was written after the last time the racist creeps decided they would rather overthrow the government instead of throwing out their racism–that being the Civil War–the solution is the 14th Amendment–Article 3–
what we do not have are politicians with the backbone to enforce the law against these insurrectionist traitors-
-hell our politicians can’t even do BASIC public health–allow threats of violence to be spewed out over the airways-by politicians-pundits and morons( threatening violence is AGAINST the law by the way)–and violence unchecked

The sad part, now becoming more apparent, is that the traitorous States were re-admitted to the Union far too quickly and easily. Lincoln’s intent was to save the Union, then maybe end slavery. History was robbed, at gunpoint, by a real solution to the Civil War. There was more than one victim when Lincoln was shot.

Unfortunately It is very unlikely that anything of consequence will happen to Trump and his gang of ‘patriotic’ traitors. I’ll be surprised if they can even get the latest batch of Benedict Arnolds to testify after getting subpoenaed. He obviously should have been impeached twice already. We have have a ‘justice’ system that is very weak on justice but strong on system.

France recently put former President Sarkozy under house arrest for his corruption while in office, but they’re a constitutional democracy & we aren’t. I’m not optimistic that our failed institutions will respond to internal threats like Trump. I’d be surprised if the federal government survives this decade of climate, economic & public health disasters.

And let’s identify WHICH social class elected GWB & Trump: the white working class. They also elected Reagan who immediately began dismantling the underpinnings of the working class via exportation of jobs & shredding the social safety net. If it sounds like I’m dumping on the working class I guess I am, although I came from that class before transcending via higher education. The working class has proven over & over again that they need outside benign leadership but they’re too arrogant to admit it. As a result they’ve suffered & they deserve it; the rest of us, not so much.

It’s really simple at this point, where the hell is Merrick Garland! Or his he waiting for the Manhattan DA, NY AG, and a Georgia DA to do his work for him? You know, much like Biden has saddled Bernie with doing all the hard work figuring out how to save this country from itself economically. Good grief!
