Today, senators voted on a resolution to undo a 2017 move by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to end net neutrality regulations, but major television and print media outlets have devoted little more than a few mentions to the issue.
Why should the MSM want to report on the successful vote to save the Internet, their arch nemesis and rival? I should think that they’d want to do everything in their power to see this new young upstart the Internet as we know it get throttled and strangled and turned into a big joke, just like they have been turned into a big joke. After all, the Internet is allowing the leaking out of a different narrative of how things are, something that could be quite detrimental to the ‘national security’ of this ‘great’ nation.
Commercial media has a vested interest in allowing people to ignore issues of Net neutrality, government surveillance, and so forth.
