Trump’s Budget Is What Class Warfare Looks Like

Greg Kaufmann

Earlier this week, the Trump administration launched a massive salvo against the working and middle class with a budget that was every bit as absurd as its title: “A New Foundation for American Greatness.”

Maybe Trump is using the big squeeze to justify more draconian measures to maintain security and stability in the face of civil opposition? He suggests that protests be banned? What does that sound like? You kind of feel like some schoolyard bully is pushing at you and taunting you so as to start a fight while standing behind him are a bunch of his pals ready to join in.

Trump is a Sock Puppet, through which the same Entities that have been harming us, for at least the past Half Century, continue to do what they will.

I’m glad Greg used to term “class warfare” a word lacking use to describe the desperate situation of common Americans in a squeeze intended to extract as much as possible in as little time as possible. Contrary to popular accords 50+% of people haven’t recovered from the depression of '07-'08, most are worse off than before. Yet the powers that govern us want to cut essential safeguards that assure a way to exist just so the rich can be richer and build more worthless yachts or mansions. We need folks to express the class warfare that harms all of us, bring it to their doorsteps and say we’re not going to accept this any more.

It is unfortunately none too well understood that, just as the State has no money of its own, so it has no power of its own.
