Well, I suppose a country can be run without the use of a brain.

quote: The “threat” from Iran is that it is a regional power that has dared to challenge the United States’ hegemonic ambitions in the greater Middle East.

What exactly are they doing in the Middle East that’s harmful to us, not to Israel, not ti Saudi Arabia, but to us?

They refused to give us their oil for almost free like they did when they were ruled by the Shah, the US personally put into place dictator to obtain cheap oil. Overthrowing him was an affront to the US. How dare they get rid of our dictator? How dare they object that we threw their democratically elected government to install the Shah when they got tired of US oil cos stealing their oil.
That is what they did to us. Same as Iraq, oil. Don’t play ball with the US and let us steal your resources, you will pay. It is what the US has been doing since we became an empire, steal land, place dictators over the people and steal the resources.
