Trump's Budget Is a Blueprint for a Banana Republic-Style Military Dictatorship

The Trump Administration has officially unveiled its proposed budget to "Make America Great Again," and by all accounts it’s a total flop. Most news outlets are ignoring are the greater implications of what is proposed in the budget itself—the society America would become if the Trump budget became official.

America is, and has been, a covert, Banana Republic- style military dictatorship wrapped in the flag and pseudo religion for a long, long time. Trump’s blueprint is just making it transparent for more people.

“A nation that continues year after year to spend more on military defense [actually “defense”] than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.” - MLK Jr.

I just read where Trump gifted the Pope with a set of writings by MLK Jr. - apparently without a sense of irony.

Obama probably left the set of MLK writings in the Oval Office and Trump is just disposing of things he has no need for.

US military and police spending has “dwarfed a reasonable need” for at least the past half century, so Trump inherited a nation waiting for a dictator to take existing extremes to greater extremes.

When a group of high ranking US military officers toured the former USSR in 1990 to determine actual threat during the cold war they found far fewer threats than US cold warrior propaganda had alleged for the previous 45 years, so “spending dwarfing a reasonable need” is probably the most succinct way to define the US role in the cold war.

Too bad we don’t have an opposition party that could at least find it’s ass with a map and a flashlight…

Trump, Pence, Ryan, Mulvaney… They just keep coming, don’t they? What is dreadful is these sleaze-balls will often burn down their own community for a congress job, a few thousand, a Disney World trip for wifey, and the kids, and a knock-off Rolex.
