Donny Dimwit can’t even get the conservative playbook right. The breaking of government is supposed to be done at the cabinet level, below the radar coverage of the typical citizen. Trump’s attention whoremanship is far too publicized for The Wrecking Crew (Thomas Frank, 2008). Even the rubes may catch on to the #FakeBorderCrisis. I would love to see as many federal workers as possible stay home for their health. The diagnosis? Trump dystopia disorder…

Lots of work will be lost to robots and computers. TSA would be one. I won’t be sorry to have some kid pat down my junk.

This goes further than Govt Workers. Most Americans are treated like garbage and disrespect in the work place and everywhere. No decent customer service with big Corporations, Banks, Medical Facilities, etc. Always a fight as they show their customers they could care less. People dress like slobs as fashion is dead. Music sux unless you go backwards. Technology is used mostly for spying and selling your personal info. Must be a Sign if the Times where every aspect of life is Bad! Are we having fun yet?

We are going to run out of songs to parody. Good rhythm.
Never thought about Trump’s name in big gold letters every quarter mile.

Little known fact about those government workers: The police are not the only agency being militarized in preparation for the inevitable.
The majority of government agencies are in the process of getting a similar treatment, and they will all be ordered to fight against the people when the time comes.
The irs for example (yes that irs) currently have over 5000 firearms and over half a million rounds.
Do you imagine they intent to send tax collectors over seas anytime soon?
More over, for all those donating to these people you may want to ask yourself just how many of them you imagine have ever given a single penny to a homeless person.
These are after all people willingly serving a government more ruthless and destructive than any that has come before it. I would argue that your sympathies are better spent elsewhere.

Seems like this whole situation is a teachable moment for the left. I hope, in addition to posting on sites like this, that everyone is out there trying to do something, if you have the time. People are busy, and if you can’t, you can’t. But, if you can, there’s a lot to be won now, so get out there.

So this cloud has a silver lining or three.

But I guess that means we’re jumping in bed with TSA now? I can barely keep up with the reactionaries that are supposed to be my allies now.

Republicans believe first in Law and Order, and second they don’t believe in Big Socialist Government. So, if your Big Socialist Republican Government ordered you to work 40 hours a week for a paycheck of $0.00 forever, and the mortgage company and the grocery store both want actual money from you now, what do you do?

Elsewhere in the government, the IRS won’t send you your refund so that you can buy that food. However, the mortgage industry needs help so the IRS made an exception. The IRS suddenly found the money to hire back 400 employees with real money to help the industry keep making a profit.

Now, if you were one of those TSA workers with a family to feed, wouldn’t it be wonderful if the government had to find the money to hire you back too? After all, you’re helping wealthy people to get onto jets!

All part of the “race to the bottom” I’m afraid.
Government workers have long been thought by rank and file workers in the private sector to be immune to the machinations of the labor market. All i hear these days is this garbage, “lets see those teachers have to lose their health insurance or get the same crappy raise I got!” That’s why you don’t hear protests from the majority of us about these poor government schlubs being without paychecks. The last thirty five years of Reaganomics have conditioned us all to not give two shits for anybody but ourselves. Selfishness is now engrained in our national psyche.

Nothing against the workers themselves, but the truth is we never needed TSA in the first place. Another building block, added to the surveillance state. A false flag event used to make the citizens take another goose step and bow to our fascist overlords while you’re relieved of another constitutional right. Then they up the ante with a phony shoe bomber story, take another step.

The TSA and air traffic workers could end this thing tomorrow simply by not showing up. However, Americans in the post Reagan era seem to have forgotten the power of collectivism and what workers could really accomplish if they just stuck together.
I believe it was one of our founding fathers that said “ if we do not hang together surely we will hang separately”

Will strikes bring pressure to bear and crack the stranglehold of government/corporations on our lives, and/or hasten a nasty bloody standoff? Maybe Donnie will one up Ronnie and yell with his twisted mouth, ‘you are fired’ and send in federal troops to search and intimidate travelers. The flashpoint appears close at hand.

I believe it is against the law for TSA workers to Strike. Remember what sleazy Reagan did to the Air Traffic Controllers when they went on Strike, he Fired all of them.

I am sure these workers do not want to lose their job, because they know the Bleach Blonde Bigot in the white house would get cheers from his base if he Fired government workers over the Wall.
