UN Human Rights Chief Questions If Trump Fomenting Violence Against Journalists

Absolutely agree with this. Of course this behavior of attacking the press is compatible with fascism. The goal it transfer the determination from what is true from the press to the fascist leader. I think it is obvious that a majority of Americans are not going to buy this but we have already seen the damage Trump can do with only a third of the country behind him. One the most important things citizens can do to stop the onslaught of Trump and the racists are on his side politically is to support the press. That can mean criticizing those who attack the press for providing fake news as well as paying for subscriptions to newspapers. Maintaining a free press is a battle that needs to be won.

Only against those journalists that report the truth about him and his criminality, cruelty, and corruption.

It is amazing that one person can do so much damage to my beloved America. Donald Trump has been obsessed with “abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press….” - including corporate and cable communications and the internet. He is doing it because the Media insists on telling the truth about him. It refuses to disseminate “news” that exists only in his mind. And, the road to Fascism is built significantly on controlling the dissemination of information. The problem is that millions of Americans -already primed by right-wing Media to support a President who would love to be a Dictator - support his unconstitutional agenda.
